it is for good luck for the rest of the year.

and sure enough, the stores always have massive displays of canned black-eyed peas.

Your just like the watchtower organisation who lies to you and decieves you, so in turn lie and decieve your society by coming here and associating with those who are disfellowshipped. If you can try to see the hypocrasy here between you and your society. Then you might get a little more respect. I don't think that you are a bad person but you have already labeled everyone here as a bad person, if you had such a great deal of knowledge of the scriptures then you would know about judging others, and about things like false prophets (WTBS) You would know that the bible teaches that anyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved and not just a few jokers (WTBS members) You evidently do not know much about the bible, But I can see that you know only what the GB tell you, now do you think that God is happy with a society who harbors the real truth about God's word ?

Rapture...Help needed to explain.

recently my daughter-in-law asked me about the "rapture".

her employer has scared her with thoughts of driving along the highway and taken to heaven, leaving an empty car...accidents...etc, etc.. i looked up the scriptures referenced in the niv, but don't quite know how to answer her.

i'm pretty sure that explanation is not logical, at least to me.

New world dictionary say's (Rapture) 1: the state of being carried away with joy, love etc...2:the state of great joy or pleasure 3: a carrying away of the body or spirit. also say's in some christian theologies the bodily ascent into heaven just before Armageddon of those who are saved.

Revelations speaks of the second coming of Christ, "he comes on the clouds with the dead that are saved to collect those who are still alive who are saved."

I'm sorry for laughing but from the outside looking in it is pretty hillarious listening to Americans declaring themselves the free-est people on the planet and not really having any idea of how controlling their government is and how even more controlling it wants to be.

I already started a thread on this a couple weeks ago, but here's my two cents.

First of all 9/11 was brought on by Bin laden and not Saddam but who the hell did we go after ?

I have also heard through media that it is not just the person from another country living her in the USA but it is those who openly criticize the war in Iraq. Protestors all alike ar being spied on. This President has mis used authority like no other. Oh yes have also done such things but not like this jerk.

Don't ask me to like Bush, I think he is one of the worse presidents this country has ever seen, but then I guess like father, like son.

And then to say it is ok for him to go around FISA when in all actuality there is no problems with getting the right to spy. Those who support this lack of respect for the laws I'll just bet would change their minds if it were them being spied on. It's easy to say I have nothing to hide or I don't care until the issues comes upon their own infringements of rights.

I lived in Texas for several years, I don't like Texas either, I was miserable there. I found most people there are racist bigots and they act like there shit don't stink. Not that all of them are that way but the majority say's it is so. Gee sounds just like the President who is from there does'nt it ?

Man if there if there's one thing that gets my blood boiling is discussing G.W.Bush

if your not too rusty with dub teachings, you remember that to commit the unforgivable sin, you had to deny the holy spirits begetting you.

it would be like one of the annointed purposely saying................ "i don't want to worship jehovah anymore nor have any part of him or his son inspite of the fact he annointed me".. in christendom, it is likewise a denial of the spirit when you know it's for real.

Oh yes my cats too. I have one cat that is 13, I figure within the next 5 years that day will come and I don't think I will handle that too well either. She is my best friend, my pal and my buddy. She never talks back and only has an unconditional love for me as I have forher too, which is more than I can say for some of my family........

i am friends with a divorced woman.....(true to myself, because i have once been one i share my time with one so she isn't so blue and "alone").

she visits me and shows me her online dating sites and the things "guys" say about themselves.

it's quite entertaining and we laugh together as she shares me her online "winks".. one was from a guy that is "fiesty and sassy".............

I look for things like honesty which is the most important to me. I don't lie and I don't care for liars. I also look for thing like values, morals, cleanliness, feelings about family etc. It is not just a weight thing. If the person was honest about there weight it might be a little different, but as I see it, if someone is going to lie about their weight, what else are they telling lies about ?

I have not had much luck in the online dating thing, there are way to many head game players in these kind of places and I will not waste good money so people can play games with my head. I find it better to find someone who is upfront and in person, like my church or the neighbor lady down the street.

There are all kinds of great people in our beautiful planet, skinny ones, fat ones, ugly or beautiful and I make it a habit to not judge someone by their looks but for more whats on the inside. I have many friends who are over weight people and are wonderful friends. But for me I also look for what the future will bring for me in a relationship. Overweight people tend to have a lot of health problems and usually do not live a very long life. I try to consider the long term side of a relationship and not the short term.
