i have a friend who is a jw as is her husband.
she is stuck in a marriage with a man whom i believe has major mental problems and he is visciously abusive to her emotionally.
on two occasions he became physically violent with her as in he grabbed her and pinned her while he was yelling at her.
Wow, glad to hear (read) that she left last night. Situations like this one are always tough to deal with. Afraid to leave, afraid to hurt feelings, afraid.. Hopefully things will get better for her from here on. Leaving him was a very important step in the right direction.

i have recently been blessed with my wife (currently df'd jw) starting to look into some things, and she's read the book "questions for jehovah's witnesses" by the cetners.
she still feels she needs to see something she feels is more reliable for dates such as the 1925 patriarchs, etc, and when i was doing research, i noticed the best quotes to show seem to be from books such as the millions now living will never die and the way to paradise, but they're really old, and i couldn't find any available on e-bay or as reprints on cds on my search.
does anybody know a way to get ahold of these books?

i was in 7th grade.
my science teacher was a jw.
One of the ladies in our KH is in her nineties and lives in a nursing home. Oh wait, let me back up for a second.. My neighbor is an alcoholic who has some VERY obnoxious friends. Most of them know me because I politely say hi every time I see them arriving to have a drinking party with him. So, my friend and I often go to the nursing home and take this nice old JW lady out for lunch. Everyone knows my friend and everyone knows that she is a JW, because she announces the 'good news' all the time, everywhere. One day we went to the nursing home to bring this nice lady back, after we had taken her out for lunch. One of my neighbor's rude friends was there, visiting a family member. She saw us and practically cried out to me "Chris, what the f*ck, I didn't know you were a Jehovah!" That was pretty embarassing, especially after I had just had a conversation with my friend about 'bad associations' (she telling me that I had to get rid of my bad associations)
