Do you keep hitting the snooze button in the morning?
by Elsewhere inhttp://www.cnn.com/2005/tech/04/04/spark.clocky/index.html.
clever clock stops you sleeping late.
(cnn) -- if you are not a morning person and find it difficult to get out of bed, then "clocky" might be the thing to improve the start of your day.. a scientist at the massachusetts institute of technology (mit) has invented the clever device, which will defy even the most determined alarm clock "snoozers.".

I use two alarm clocks, because a single one is not enough to wake me up in the morning. Both my alarm clocks are a half hour fast, which gives me the opportunity to hit that snooze button about 3 times. It's pretty simple, you can't get me IN bed and you can't get me OUT of bed. Always been that way. Having an alarm clock that goes hiding on me wouldn't last too long, I'd probably smash it after a couple of days. I'm not a very nice person in the morning, even the cat knows and respects that.

OPEN LETTER TO JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES
by Outaservice inyou may not remember, but i know you very well.
i met you a long time ago when you came to my house with your smiling faces, your neat clothes, and your soft voices, and a bible tucked neatly under your arm.
you told me beautiful stories of a "paradise earth," and a "righteous new system" which would be established shortly.

(willyoman) I strongly condemn Eduardo's heartless, dub-soaked line of thinking, which is just as judgmental and the organization he seeks to defend.
Dansk, orangefatcat, greendawn and willyoman have brought up good points. "Slick" is the right word. Many -if not all- people who have fallen for what seemed to be 'the truth', have done this in good faith, convinced that they were doing the only right thing a human being should do. When you raise your children in the JW religion because you are convinced that such is their only chance to be saved and live forever on a paradise earth, and then you come to find out that you have been misled, I honestly don't think that you are to blame. When you meet a seemingly kind person whom you grow devoted to, but then you find out that this person has made false promises to you and becomes abusive, are you to blame? When you are ill and you put your trust in a certain doctor because he was recommended to you, and in spite of his 'treatments' you are not getting better at all, are you to blame?
The WTS has many innocent victims. Are they to blame? I don't think so.

What happens after.......
by Survive1999 inso i'm interested for all you folks that have come out of the watch tower society, are any of you still religious, believe in god or the bible?
interestingly enough, i picked up a origianl copy of "studies in the scriptures" published 1915 with reprinted tracts in the back that talk about armegedon in 1914. big funny!
i keep it handy near the front door.

It's a selfish question.. really selfish. I would ask him to make my life's dream come true... to sit around a table with my mom, my dad and my siblings. The seven of us have never been in one room together. It is my dream to have just one meal with my whole family, but I'd definitely need some divine intervention in order to make that dream come true.

Will they really print a story like this about JWS.? I have never seen anyone do that before. I think to it may cost a little money
You never know.. you could always send it to some papers with a cover letter.... but do NOT pay money when they ask for it. Being part time in the publishing field, I can tell you that there are a lot of scams out there.
Ha, one of the 'gossip' magazines might jump on something like this.

I know that you probably will not have even read this letter and that is okay.
Bingo! I doubt that they read a letter as this one all the way to the end, but I wish you luck. You brought up some very valid points. If you would like the letter edited, please send me a pm, I'll be happy to do it for you.

you get annoyed when one of your threads peters out...or you make a comment on someone elses thread and it goes unacknowledged....
Oh sure, I'll admit it. What annoys me at times is when I take time to write a long comment and it goes unacknowledged. But then I realize how fast this board moves, and the person the comment was for perhaps never noticed it. It would never stop me from commenting though.

dont have unprotected sex with infectious people!
NOW you're telling me.
Although JWD is the only real discussion board I frequent, I do hang out at poetry sites quite often. It is amazing how people come and go, and how they are often forgotten in a heartbeat. I miss Fleur.
