my mum has been inactive for the best part of a decade.
the other week, the daughter of the woman my mum studied with to become a jw popped over to see mum (they are good friends).
the daughter was saying how she probably won't get baptised herself as there is too much she doesn't agree with, but that she thinks jws are right.
Either your mom has been having doubts and was truly and deeply shocked by the realization of what they really teach, OR she is emotionally blackmailing you. (See what you've done? You've pulled me away from the truth which is my love and my life and now I have nothing left).
Or it could be a mixture of both. Obviously, she is shooting the messenger here. She might not be mad at YOU, chances are that she is mad at herself. Don't feel bad, it is NOT your fault.

i don't think that kids have many places to go on the internet if they want to show their writings.

Yeah, I had been toying with the idea for quite a while, and felt torn between not encouraging children to use the internet more than they already do, or to encourage them to develop their writing skills. Then I thought oh well, they will use the internet anyways, and going to a writing forum is better than playing games.
I got an unofficial thumbs up from the server, because one has to be 13 years old to register an account, but I can bypass it by having a parent register and have the children post under supervision.
The children's forum is one of the new features to celebrate the first anniversary of my board.

Ozzie, was that you, posting a topic about 3 months ago, telling us that you saw a fly on the windowsill and you knew that spring was coming, or was it someone else? That post depressed me SOOOO much, because winter was coming here.
Winter officially starts tomorrow, but we have already had more than 2 months of snow. What is wrong with this picture? I marked it down on the calendar. We had a major blizzard on October 24th, but we had already had snow before that.

it is the christmas time of year, so what better topic then being rude.
as this time of the year, often brings the rudeness out, from even the nicest of people.
take for example what happened to me today.
The rudeness of people can be truly amazing. I help out at a health food store every once in a while. One time, a lady came in and she looked as if she was searching for something but couldn't find it. So I asked her "Is there anything I can help you with?" Her answer was "Mind your own damn business".
i can't stand it anymore.

i had a lovely package waiting for me when i got home friday.
