Winning the lottery, would it really change your life?
by JH inimagine that you won a couple of million $, would this have a huge bearing on you or would you just make slight ajustments to your life?.
i'd be the same person, but with more resources, that's all !!!!.
i'd be more "me" and wouldn't change into someone else because i became rich.. how about you?

As I understand it, both parties do not have to agree to release.
Are you sure about that? Everything that is written is automatically protected by copyright laws. Publishing any kind of writings without the author's permission is a violation of such laws.

Yes it would change my life a great deal. I am rather poor and live on about $20 a month for groceries (which is enough because I have a huge garden in summer and freeze a lot of stuff). I make great money at work, but my "busy" time lasts only 2 months out of the year, and for the rest of the year, I only have 1 shift a week, so the money I make in 2 months has to last the rest of the year.
This means that on average, I live on about $400 a month. Rent is $200, electricity and phone each around $50 and internet service is $10. Unless I have other expenses (like repairs, or someone's birthday coming up) I keep $20 for groceries and use the remaining money to pay off hospital bills. I still have about $4,000 to pay in hospital bills.
If I had a million dollars, I would definitely give half of it away to friends, charity organizations and people who really need it. With the other half I would pay off my hospital bills, buy a pound of smoked salmon, 10 pounds of Belgian endive and 10 boxes of Belgian truffles (all of those are too expensive for my budget and I have been craving them for years), and I would put the rest aside and not waste it.

I sent mine last Monday, but I did let the recipient know that it would be a bit late, so that he won't have to worry about it. The postmaster said he might still get it before Christmas.
I received mine.
THANK YOU

I didnt know what winter was until I moved to Indiana
LOL, someone from Indiana moved to my neighborhood and said the same thing. She didn't know what winter was until she moved to the Adirondack mountains.

That is a great idea indeed, but somehow I doubt that the writers of the answers will give their permission for publication, especially since the royalty money wouldn't roll into THEIR hands. (although royalties really aren't all that great).

I wouldn't mind if we had snow only 3 months a year, but 5 to 6 months is too much for me.
Exactly, that is the whole point, really.
Winter is just starting and we have already gone through MORE than TWO months of snow. Good luck waiting for spring by the end of March.. it just doesn't happen that way up here. We usually have snow in the mountains here untill well into May. Actually, since I moved up here 14 years ago, so far there has been ONE month I have not seen bothered by snow, and that is July. I have seen snow in all the other months of the year.
My first winter up here was wonderful beyond words. I felt like a kid all over again. I had never seen much snow to speak of, only the kind that goes away after an hour and leaves a black slush before it turns to mud. So, being in the snowy mountains was like visiting the North Pole. I loved every second of it. During the second winter, the fun had worn off, but I could tolerate it. The third winter was annoying, just plain annoying. Fast forward to today, winter number 14.. I hate it with such a passion, I can't even put it into words. I have been considering moving to a more southern state, but the problem is that it is extremely beautiful up here, and the summers are gorgeous. Every year I say I'll stick it out one more winter and then see what happens by next fall. At this point, I would probably move if I had an opportunity.
