I love blood sausage when it is prepared well. When I started studying with the JWs, the question about blood sausage definitely popped up in my mind. I asked two different elders about it. One said that it was okay to eat it, the other said that it should be avoided. So much for a clear answer. I also asked repeatedly about eating meat bloody rare (the way I like it), but never really got a straight yes or no on that one.

my dh was raised a jw but hasn't attended a meeting since he started college (5 years ago).
he despised meetings and slept or doodled in his wt through at least 99% of them.

why is it ok to celebrate a wedding anniversary but not a birthday?
i can understand christmas, easter, halloween and valentines day but birthdays, thanksgiving, mother's day and father's day don't have religious or murderous origins.

I always wondered about Mother's day and Father's day too. The bible teaches us to respect and honor our parents, so what would be wrong with giving them a special day to let them know how much you appreciate the things they do for you? If anything, it would be more biblical than not biblical IMHO.

Jerimiah Film on Jehovah's Witness History!
by scoobiedoo1 inhi, i'm fairly new to this site but i downloaded a film about one hour long on the history of the jehovah's witnesses!
i found it to be very good but i doubt that i could get someone (jehovah's witness) to watch it since they are ordered not to watch anything that might enlighten them event though the film is all truth supported by there own watchtower publications!
if any one is looking to see this film do a search for jerimiah films in limewire or kazaa, etc.... i know theres a lot of crap on these download sites but there are also good stuff!

I would give you a link, but my mouse is broken at the moment and every little thing I do on the computer truns into a lot of aggravation. I posted a link in another thread a couple of days ago. Look for the thread with the title "Quotes site down, what can we do about it". (or something very similar to that) I posted a link in thatr thread, not to the movie itself but to the discussion of the movie. If I had any doubts before reading through it (it is a pretty long read), my doubts were all gone after I had finished reading it. I think it is a must read for everyone. If I can, I will look up that thread and post the link here, but I can only do that much without the use of my mouse.
