To be honest, I was kind of surprised when I heard that they will be studying the Daniel book again, because the date 1914 is mentioned in that book.

The Generation Game 10 years on - 1995
by truthseeker init's been roughly ten years since the change in the understanding of the generation was printed in a november watchtower.. while i won't discuss here what everyone already knows about this change, and the effects it had on many people, questions have to be asked.. what happens next for the watchtower society?
where is the leadership?.
in what direction are they headed?.

Any types of books, authors, etc. you enjoy now that you didn't as a JW?
by littlerockguy ini always loved to collect books.
if any jw came and looked at my bookshelf now they would turn probably turn white.

I read pretty much the same authors & types of books now as I did then. It's just that I no longer have anyone disapproving of my choices ...
Yup, same here. I read many books on chess, magic tricks and poetry.

Who is the author of this piece? And would you like a general opinion, or a line by line poet's critique?
interesting piece indeed..

My find at an Antique Shop
by orangefatcat inyesterday was a nice day so i took out my scooter and i went over to the library and also decided to go into the antique mall just across the road from us.
i love going to antique shops, so i was browsing at some old books and i seen this old purple paperback book and i picked it up and it was called ; the truth shall make you free, at first i thought this sounds like a jw book but why so old as a paperback .
upon opening it i was suprised that it was indeed a paperback book by jehovah's witnesses 1939 and it pretty good shape.

OFC! What an interesting find. have you been reading in it at all? I'm sure it will be interesting to see what they were talking about back then, (probably the end of the world coming right up in 1914). Please let us know when you read it and what your opinion is.

The mistake that I was making over and over again was that I never saw that the locker could move. I revealed one end of the secret passage in the computer room, but didn't reveal the end that was blocked by the locker, that's why I couldn't get to the soda machine. I figured out how to disable the laser field in front of the door, but now the $%#&@ door is locked and I don't have a key. I guess I'll start from the beginning of this level to see if I can find a key somewhere.

Leolaila, thank you so very much. I surprised myself last night by getting completely frustrated over this. I'm not a person who gets frustrated easily, and today I'm still trying to figure out WHY it frustrates me so much. I think part of it is that I have tons of work to do and shouldn't be spending my time playing games (although I enjoy games).
I've avoided to click on the link today. I have a half hour before making dinner right now, will go to the game and see what I can do. I'll keep you informed. (unless I smash my computer, then I'll have to wait to tell you how it went until I have a new computer of course)

Move on...

I was flabbergasted and practically wanted to nominate them for a statue. Now, my reaction to them is actually what pisses me off ..... cuz each and every one coming to this country should be like that. But fact of the matter is that that family was an exeption to the general
I think that everyone will agree here. As I said before, people who move to a different country and show their total lack of interest in society by not learning the language, that just isn't right. I hear you on being mad at yourself for such thoughts. It's like giving a kid a piece of candy because he does his homework. Well, there's no merit in that, as it is a task that should be done anyway.
You will notice that the ones who do speak Dutch are also the ones who will give a hand when something needs to be done in the neighborhood. I've seen Turkish store keepers in Belgium, who only spoke Turkish. I even remember going to a Turkish store to pick up some spices you can't buy in other stores, and feeling as if I was on vacation or something. It's sad when you go to the grocery store right around the corner from where you live, and the workers at the store don't speak your language. Something is wrong with that picture.

Thanks a lot for the map, CW.
I can't believe I had never heard of your little corner there, we were practically neighbors! Of course I was quite young when I lived there and never went much further than Breskens with the ferry boat. (We'd jump on the boat on Sundays and go back and forth from Breskens to Vlissingen, just because it was something fun to do).
As far of the festivities in that little Belgium town: I think they only wanted an excuse to party today...
HAHAHAHAHA that sounds like Belgium indeed. Have you ever been to the famous "Gentse Feesten"? It's a huge party throughout the city and it lasts 10 days and 10 nights. (It's always in July). .
And now I have to stop talking about places like that, (especially Walcheren), homesickness sneaks up pretty easily, even after all those years.

Okay, it's going on two in the morning, which is going to give me 7 hours of sleep in two days. I give up. I went through all the motions again and can't figure it out for the life of me. Thanks for your time though.
