  Somewhere past numb~

  as a loyal jw, i was ready for my whole world to come to an earth-shattering halt and for life as i knew it to be gone...at the hand of my loving god.

  i would sit in school in my mental bubble and numb myself to the world around me.

  i grew older and entered the adult world and was aloof in my thoughts that i could not attach myself to any workmates or neighbors and put out my hand in friendship as they could be dead tomorrow and i would have to be ok with that.

  i know i'm not jwd's most popular participant but even i look at this place as a means of support sometimes.

  i just wanted to say that this morning my father died of a heart attack while in field service.. i am on my way to new mexico with my daughter.

  as some of you know i am df'd so you know how that goes when attending a jw funeral.

  johnny cip-I can understand where you are coming from, but around here it is very common to decorate wreaths, plants, fences etc, with small white lights. Even elders's wives do this. Must be a mid-western thing.

  Sarcastic?? I thought he was holding back, actually. Just because they were elders doesn't mean you are to act submissive and take anything they say to you without question. Too many people think submissive and respect are the same thing, when they are not. Goes back to Witness-think again.

  We never got a certified letter. I was waiting for it. Just plain old mail. Were they hoping it would get lost? Didn't get 3 of them, either, only 2. Wouldn't have mattered, anyway. Those are THEIR rules, not mine.

  Sure, the guy couldn't see in the light. We all know it didn't make him a poor reader. But he COULD have dropped by to see why Schne_belly hadn't contacted them by a certain time if he TRULY cared about their well-being. He would have been worried, and a visit to see if he could help closer to the time of the JC would have spoken volumes.

  Failed on all counts.

  Bula...Im back from Fiji (photos)

  heya everyone im back from fiji flew in sunday night.

  had an awesome time great weather really hot, drank lots of cocktails, went snorkelling in the middle of the ocean saw a little shark and some awesome fish.

  got dropped off in the middle of the ocean on a sand dune (see pic).
