  here is another story about the "loving" jws and child custody.. a wicked foster mum who brutalised, tortured and starved three children over almost two decades was jailed for 14 years yesterday.

  Or as the Order of the Dominicans once said "Kill them all and let God sort them out" - ok not an exact quote but close enough. The exact quote is supposedly "Kill them all and God will know his own" - it just doesn't carry the punch of the modern version.

  JW email making the rounds - feeling guilt for not doing enough in service

  this is making the rounds.... the third danger that also involves feelings of guilt, not for doing what's wrong, but for not doing enough in our service to jehovah god.

  do we have reason to feel guilty?

  I believe more emails of this type should be circulated. The dubs need to have someone in the organization who they view as spiritual tell them that it is ok to slack off.

  If enough of these types of emails go around the GB will get serious about banning jw related emails unless they are of a direct personal nature.

  i suggest we all contribute $5.00 to $10.00 per year so that the site does not shut down on a regular basis.. this would allow simon to hire a server site that is reliable.

  i have never seen a site go down so often.. if simon is in agreement and you are too, would you post here ?.

  my husband hosts many sites including huge hotels for the government.

  This site saved my sanity and most probably any semblance of a normal life that I currently have.

  I would be in - if it was anonymous. I want this site to be here when my friends and family eventually wake up.

  Who the hell is J. J. Luna?

  j.j. luna is the author of the book.. 'how to be invisible'.

  .

  in the book, this author refers to using jw's for your cleaning services because of their rep as being honest and maintaining your privacy.. does anyone here know this author and if so,, was this author a former or current j-dub?.

  If you read his bio he could be a witness. My guess is that he is a dub:

  In 1959, J. J. (Jack) Luna sold his outdoor advertising business in the Upper Midwest and moved with his wife and small children to the Canary Islands off the coast of West Africa. Outwardly, he was a professional writer and photographer. Secretly, he worked underground in an activity that was at that time illegal under the regime of Generalissimo Francisco Franco.
  In 1970 Franco, yielding to intense pressure from the western world, moderated Spain's laws, leaving Luna free to come in from the cold. By that time, however, privacy had become an ingrained habit. In the years that followed he started up various low-profile businesses, built them up and then sold them.

  i can't find the exact quote (i'll keep looking) but charles swindoll said of church discipline "we're the only outfit i know of that shoots its own wounded.

  i think that is a very apt way to say what jw's do.

  about twenty years ago a relative was diagnosed as bipolar.

  So this one time I was staying at 34 Orange and this horrible pee smell started coming from the air conditioner....

  I'm glad the powers that be are getting out of Brooklyn. I want them to appear more cultish to those that are unfamiliar with them. A farm or compound in New Jersey or New York State looks and sounds more cultic that many clean buildings in Brooklyn Heights.

  I had too much to drink It's not relevant to anyone but me.

  I also have all of my bethel paperwork. Including several (and different versions) copies of Dwelling In Unity and phone listings. If it would help expose the WT I'm sure my sober self could find a way to get copies to other people.

  the elders cames to my home on saturday and i didn't answer the door, so they told my sister to relay the message.

  the message was "you know what it's about, we're going to make the announcement next meeting".

  i knew it was coming...but it feels so weird.
