Could we ever see a GB member disassociate?
by pleaseresearch inwe saw it with raymond franz.
but do you think we could ever see one of the current gb members or future ones, make the same choice?.
to leave, and expose it..

It might not be a crisis of conscience but political maneuvering and maybe even a majority of the body choosing another member as a scapegoat. Once one or two GB members are scapegoated the remaining members could make a few changes that may quiet the dubs like blood, birthdays and 144k being figurative. They might see this as a way to reinvigorate the dubs into more donations and activity.
Just thinking outside the box.

Every Know Anyone Too "Weak" To Wake Up?
by freemindfade ina jw that is probably irregular, they don't really attend meetings, they are not up on anything going on, they may even seem like they are faded but they are not, they are just slackers.
a jw that is impervious to the f.o.g.
(ok maybe it bums them, but they are too lazy and self serving to do otherwise).

I've thought about this before.
My wife does does a lot of non-witness stuff which I won't detail here but if the elders found out she'd be in for counseling for sure (pretty much she draws the line at whether someone from the hall will see her; so at home she's 75% worldly). Her conscience must be pretty smoothed over by now. She has spotty meeting and field service attendance as well.
But, she loves Jehovah and thinks the witnesses are 10000000% right on everything.
She's in just enough to never leave because it isn't uncomfortable, she just coasts along knowing she'll see her dead relatives and get to pet panda bears any day.

Elders & Ex Elders
by brandnew ini have a question.....if two jw have sex and only one of them goes to the eldurrs and confesses.....do they both get busted?
or does the boe need a confession from both people.?
if one of em denies it happened will that person still get df'd?.

Must be two witnesses. But, the elders would be watching the person like a hawk.
I know of one experience where this happened. No judicial action was taken on either person. If I remember right the teen that confessed was judged as repentant and the non confessing teen couldn't be touched due to the two witness rule. The elders investigated to see if other teens knew they were alone together or if they had seen other instances of "brazen conduct" but no knew or would rat. They watched the teen for years just waiting for something to happen.
What a messed up religion.

When I went D2D I could barely get the hello out of my mouth before the door shut or the householder was busy. I don't think I could ever get a householder to actually watch a video. It must feel so culty to most householders. -

Damn it feels good to be free and on my own without the pressure to do more as a JW slave
by No Longer a JW Brother ini don't know where to begin but damn it feels so good to be free of mind control.
i'm only officially out since this past december but i was out mentally for two hot years under the close watch of my batshit crazy psycho parents who bothered me every sunday to see what i thought about the meeting.
it was necessary for me to lie through my teeth.

Welcome No Longer a JW Brother! I like your style. The prepaid cell phone idea was brilliant. Enjoy your freedom. -

Are Jehovah's Witnesses Saved by Grace...Undeserved Kindness?
by zophar inthere was a time that one could, if they dug deep enough, come up with the answer that jw’s teach that one is “saved” by grace or the nwt preferred “undeserved kindness.” for instance, in the reasoning book p. 360 under the heading “salvation” there is a sub-heading under the section, “if someone says”: ‘are you saved?’ here is what it says you could say if someone asks, “are you saved?’ you might reply: ‘so far, i am.’…….
the conclusion being, you are saved right now.
and yes, you need to remain faithful, but you are right now in a saved state.

They love to say they are saved by undeserved kindness but then as quickly as they can they flip to James and say but... we need to do these works.
Basically all the parts of the memorial talk that aren't about not partaking are about undeserved kindness being earned.

Saturday Let the Games Begin
by Poztate inthe start of a new memorial season is upon us.
saturday is the day for the start of the invites to look but not touch the bread and wine.
the "observer class" is a belief unique to jehovah's witnesses.. along with the invite to the masses a special effort is being made this year by the elders to invite all the df's, da's and faders.. along with the invite a copy of the rtj will be left with them.. naturally we will still be treated as pariah's if we do attend but it is the thought that counts.. i am of the "fader class" as i don't wish to rock the boat with my wife and extended family.

I have never gotten called on before the memorial. I wonder if they'll come by or not. I go to the memorial every year out of respect for my wife, the kids even go. We quietly laugh at a lot of the weirdos that show up (i know it's not kind but it is a real stress reliever) my wife does some holiday stuff for me and I do memorial for her.
I haven't gotten the RTJ tract and don't want it. I would probably take it and give it to my wife. That would be the path of least resistance. This would be one of the times where I just need to shut my mouth and not cause problems. Especially if I want to get laid after the memorial.

Wow, PE I am glad you posted. You will get support here. And what's better is it will be from people who have been through similar circumstances and know how the org. works.
I agree with previous posters. Keep your thoughts to yourself for now. You're in a tough situation but not impossible. I faded and my wife is still a strong believer, so is her family and most of mine. It is possible to get through it in one piece.
Questions: Does your father in law still get into your business like he did earlier in the marriage? Or because of your wife's df'ing did he back off that and now just the elders in general are "concerned" about both of you?
Growing the beard definitely raised their suspicions, but how about your wife's? Does she know anything about your doubting the witnesses?
You're not an elder/MS so you have that going for you, that's a whole extra step that you avoided having to deal with - good job!
I wish you the best of luck.
