I feel bad for her. Clearly she has some issues in life. The witnesses won't help her deal with those. Once she's baptized the pressure will be ON and messing up means shunning. That will really put her in some sort of depression.

back in the good ole' days, witnesses used to come in all the time to see me.
i would say that there were maybe three or four families that came in regularly.. since the announcement was made though, i've had at least 35 diiferent people come in.

i have done a lot of reading on the internet about mind control, which often summarised hassan's book, but nothing came close to how interesting his book is.
i was taking notes until i realised that every page said something that applied to the watchtower society.
what makes the book effective is that hassan was a moonie, so it does not seem to be an attack on the wts, so can be read by a jw without being offensive to them.. even if you are no longer a jw this is essential reading to help you get over the experience.
Hassan's books are great.
I'm not sure if the dubs are a cult but they definitely are a High Control Group.

i will start with catching my parents digging in my trash.
my neighbor called me on the phone and thought i would like to know that 2 people were digging in my trash and asked if she should call the police.
Wow. think of it this way - no one every tried that hard to keep me in. They must really love you.
Also, I thought garbage was private property until it mingled with the other trash in the trash truck.

i've been keeping tabs on my old congregation for the last 3+ years (i dont even remember when was the last time i went to a meeting) it is not easy, i have joined a site named 'bebo' and have a handfull of so called 'friends' in my network.
mostly from my old congregation, they seem to acknowledge my existence, but keep there distance.
no one ever invites me to anything or to hang out.. time flies and things change.

Have you tried finding friends outside the borg who actually care about you and want to be your friend for who you are and not what you believe? It takes time but real friendships can be made.
I'm sorry that your current friends are treating you so poorly. I think you should move on.

A lot of circuits are struggling with what to do with all that wasted kitchen space. I had a good friend say "Wish they'd simplified the food arrangment before we built that there kitchen!"

In the various parts of the country I've had occasion to attend CAs and SADs attendance between 850 - 1,100 is fairly common.

What if they WTS was able to combine the english speaking and spanish speaking baptisms into one event. Perhaps even having the rest of the language groups present as well?
I don't know the logistics of this but it would be a super morale booster for die hard dubs. Seeing lots of people who speak different language and come from different backgrounds accept the yoke of Jehovah's love - now that would build the flock up.
I agree, though, that pretty soon they'll need to "simplify" and have the baptisms at the DC only. They can make up a myriad of excuses for this. The sheep will buy it hook line and sinker.
