i'm upstairs, eavesdropping on a conversation between an eldubs wife and my wife.
they are hoping for "clarification" on everything that's going on with the construction scene.
so, rest assured, dubs are talking.

the december kingdom ministry (km) is online.
.
no schedule for the first week in january 2016 - as in previous december kms.. so another evidence, that beginning with january 2016 the org will change the mid-week-meeting.. -----> download link: http://download.jw.org/files/media_publickm/72/km_e_201512.pdf.

just heard from a reliable source that some at the canadian branch have received their lay-off notices under their doors at bethel.
don't know what the letter looks like.
probably something like, " the tribe has spoken, bring us your torches"
I guess I am callous or something but I don't really feel bad. They willingly gave up other opportunities in life while all the time feeling superior to others. They volunteered and were treated like celebrities in the congregations most of the time and they've lived pretty much free for as long as they've been at bethel working. It was a win-win situation for them, now the society doesn't need them so their volunteering is over.
I doubt they'll wake up. Dubs seeing everything through the lens of 'this is the end - work work work'. They'll probably be more loyal than before since they'll be even more afraid the end is here.
with today's events the message and tone of this video makes a lot more sense.
thus the defeated, failing, delivery.. http://tv.jw.org/#video/vodprogramsevents/pub-jwbmw_201509_1_video.
it had a purpose.
First off I have to say that was sickening to watch.
Second WOW! I can't believe he said apostates want to say we're dogmatic and believe whatever we're told and then said we should believe whatever we're told! That was the stupidest most lame presentation ever. I agree that he seemed really uncomfortable and not believable.
I think based on this there will be further doctrinal changes which may really upset the publishers. The money savings things are one point and a corporate necessity but I think the still to come doctrinal changes will shake some dubs to their core.
last year saw the elimination of the district overseer...and circuit overseers now must retire at 70. how long until the circuit overseer is no more?
of course, the role might still exist, they would simply not get paid.
they would have to care for their own expenses.
Good idea DoubtingBro, but I think there may be one issue.
The only problem I see with it is the GB know how many personality and other issues can occur on a body of elders which is one of the reasons COs and the old DOs worked alone but under tight control. If they used a body of elders from various local halls they'd still need someone to oversee them to nip trouble in the bud. Perhaps one of those elders could be called the CO but in fact not be a paid or travelling brother. He'd have control to stop problems but the body as a whole could do the other work involved in running a circuit.
... until they have fulfilled their role in the org's master plan to sit down with the bodies of elders in the circuits and ascertain which congregations should be merged or consolidated.
this "culling" of k.h.
's will now have to be accelerated - considering the panic to rake in cash.. after the c.o.
