I wasn't there, not born yet, but my parents and grandparents were all there. And I thought 4 days was bad. -

No clapping

Kids and I went to keep peace in our house. Small price to pay for our freedom. Wife does some holiday stuff with us so it's all fair. -

2016 Memorial Done & Dusted
by steve2 inwell on this side of the planet, the southern hemisphere/ new zealand, the 2016 memorial service in local kingdom halls will be over for another year.
another great big anticlimax.
some family and relatives will have gone - but unless i ask my sister, i generally have no idea about attendance and partaker numbers.

Ugh boring. Waaaaay too much time in the talk about who shouldn't partake. And you much time on how we can earn salvation.
Always the funny ritual when the passers of the bread and wine sit down and get served themselves. It's so ridiculous.

Gross! Grooming of young brothers in the KH to do more for Jehobadahhh and his organ-nigh-say-shun! I saw it myself.
by macys inso there is this young brother probably 14 or 15 and the elders are already grooming him to do more for jehobadahhh.
most of the elders in this kh are old like 60+ and sometimes there are not enough brothers to do the mics or sound so you will see a 70 year old elder forced into action.
almost comical to see a brother who thinks instagram is an email service try to operate the sound system and projector as he plays the wrong song or brings the screen down during a prayer.

Macys, reinstatement? Would I be wrong to assume this is for family reasons and not because you believe it's the right religion? How do you hide your lifestyle to your family and the other dubs? That must be really hard and really frustrating. I hope your family accepts you back and doesn't shun you again if you try to fade later. -

I agree with most of the OP but not the part about the elder being a pedo. That's not fair to say. Macys I read your bio and you have been through a lot, I'm really sorry that you lost your family and I am glad you are in a supportive place now. -

Plus if you were at the farm or Patterson you could keep a log and be reimbursed for mileage to and from the kingdom hall. There was also a recommended contribution amount for riding with someone to and from the meetings. Having a beater car could be a real money maker if gas prices were low.
I still have my driving log.

I am losing
by NoMoreHustle ini haven't posted anything for a bit, but wanted to express how i am losing this battle.
it has been over 3 years now since i woke up about watchtower.
the battle that i am talking about is the tug of war with my wife (i adore her immensely), watchtower is winning, she simply will not give in to my so-called negative thoughts about the religion that we are in.

Both marriage mates deserve and need to be happy. You both have to be willing to let the other person live their life and make their own choices. It's not easy, especially where the WT is concerned, but it is possible. There are many examples on the board of marriages that have survived one spouse leaving the WT and marriages that have ended. Each situation is unique.
I think it's good you posted because the board can offer support and that's always good.
