Yep it was a great year, wish I could go back in time.. I first fell in love, it was fantastic............... I'm still in love with those feelings, and remember it all so well.
She left me to go and live in Australia, but the feelings of warm love still fill me with happiness, no other women will ever give me so much happiness no never....she was my first true love..it willnever be replaced again.
I loved the summer of 1976 it was so good, long hot nights of love and warmth, I was fit young and a great future ahead of me.............
I remember Punk music had just got going, it was fantastic..

Things that really bothered you.....

were there ever things that really really bothered you that they were doing, and it made you stop and think about what you were really getting involved in?
mine would be at an assembly.

by cyberguy ini don?t know how many caught this, but the watchtower of march 1st, seems to put a new twist on a familiar watchtower theme of power and control by the gb.
did you notice the last 3 paragraphs of the last study article?
to me, they?re pregnant with hidden meaning, that is, regarding the power struggle that has been going on since the creation of a plethora of corporations a few years ago.. .

I read this article the other day and thought the same, yes the GB are getting old and will all die of soon. For many years now I have noticed that the FDS, GB (whatever they call themselves, or claim to be) are shifting responsibilities over to the other sheep
I stopped going to the meetings when the Isaiah books were being considered at the "books study" (not Bible Study), they tried to squeeze too much prophecy into the 1919 thing, but notice how this is now being down-graded
?Thus, although these two parables shed light on events in 1919 or thereabouts, they apply in principle to all true Christians throughout the last days.?

Were your prayers ever answerd by Jehovah?
by micheal ini recall praying countless of times about very specific things, "worked in harmony with my prayers" and nothing.
anything that remotely seemed like an answer was either coincidence or my own determination to get it done.. so, how about you?
did jehovah answer your prayers or were you like me, did you feel very frustrated and guilty because they were never answered?

I often prayed so hard I fell asleep!
No, I don?t think my prayers were answered, one night I was praying, and suddenly I came around thinking, ?there's no one listening to me?, and gave up, it was like a flash of light to me. I no longer pray.
I also remember praying for our dear Brothers and Sister in Malawi, I don?t think they got any relief from there terrible ordeal (membership card issue), but after reading Ray Franz book Crises of Conscience, I now know that the GB could have changed policy on this issue, and saved all the suffering. Maybe I should have prayed that the GB change policy?

Just to add clarity to this point the UK Government release secret document under the 30 year rule, and allow then to be examined publicly. This is just what the BBC have done, it is not "made up stuff", just true reporting. The 30 year rule is a rule pertaining to archives which states that all documents or files which have been closed for more than 30 years are accessible to the public. I believe the EU also applies this ruling.

New Light-----1986----The International Year Of Peace Fulfilled???
by minimus inthey're saying the prophecy is possibly fulfilled of "peace and security and then sudden destruction" in the year 1986 when world leaders dubbed that year as the "year of peace".
the feb.1st watchtower mentions that just as a pregnant woman over 9 months gradually has signs of a baby's growth in the womb, so too, we may have a fulfillment of bible prophecy without knowing it fully beforehand until the effects and results become obvious.

I was at the 1985 District Convention and the speaker mentioned that 1986 would be the "The International Year of Peace" and I clearly remember him saying that we (WT) are not saying that this will be the signal for the great tribulation?but we need to be the more watchful, and ready, also make sure that we are doing as much in our service to Jehovah???..
And guess what? my Mum as just given me my new ?2004 Calendar of Jehovah?s Witnesses? this as some really nice photos in it from all around the world, the year text is ?keep on the watch?Prove yourself ready? ?Matthew 24:42,44. (printed in Spain by the way!!!)
