Kingdom Hall Stories
by Bendrr ini couldn't think of a more descriptive yet short title.. the thread about kh cleaning stories got me thinking about my old kh and the story behind it.
thought i'd share it and hopefully some of you will add your own.. there's a couple of folks here who may know a little about my old hall of their own and may hopefully correct any misinformation i may provide or even add their own stories.
like most others, that old hall had actual apostates (ingram i think their name was) and its own (what hall doesn't, right?

I go back to the days when we actually attended a Hall that had windows...lots of 'em. Of course they always kept the curtains closed. We also had a large swamp cooler on the roof that blasted down into the seating area. It would blow your magazine around if you set in the right spot...but nobody cared on those real hot Sunday afternoons.

Questions about WT illustrations
by Beck_Melbourne inwhen i was a kid....i used to look at the wt illustrations of paradise conditions and would day dream about life in the new system....i later used this same technique (shame on me) to brain wash bible students.
however...as i grew up lol (apparently!
) the illustrations changed....and became more modern.

Interesting. They're such a fine charitable organ-eye-zashun. I wonder if there is any way we can keep an eye on there desire to get more of the charity $$ that will be handed out to religious groups for good works in the U.S.? I understand that Bush is doing away with some programs and plans to give big bucks to religions to use. Is this something fairly recent or am I a victim of "old light"? Thanx.

JWs at My Door today!
by Amazing inwell, well , well ... guess what ... jws were at my door.
we talked for over an hour.
it has been about two years since i talked with a live jws as they did their door-to-door work ... yes, nbc dateline came up near the end of the conversation ... i could not let them get away without injecting that topic ... and when they gave the opening, i rammed it in .... first, has something happened to jws these day?
