for me, the walls of the watchtower were not destroyed by a single giant cannon-ball but rather every brick had been weakened and suddenly the whole thing just 'collapsed'.. i've alwys been an avid reader and a firm believer that you can learn anything and everything from a good book.

anyway, i was reading a bad book, the creation book, and this time things were different.. normally, the mere thought that the wts could "not be right" could not even be contemplated.

it was like you can't even comprehend the concept or understand the question, least of all imagine it.. yet now, i read the book and things were screaming at me from the pages.

food at the assembly

remember a few years ago 97 and down even more there use to be food at the assemblys(not the big rent-astadium ones).

i remember back then probally being 5,6,7,8 they use to give out food like hots hamburgers chips and so.

any idea why there isnt anymore?

I volunteered to make Hoagies at Arco Arena...never ate another Hoagie in my life. Everyone in some kinda' service got to the stadiums early...which meant youse could get yer pick of the seats. Downside was being there early...Upside was my hard-core mate would give me slack for sleeping thru the afternoon sessions then. Remember the announcements or some joker would always mention the "wonderful food provided by Jehovah" or "the FDS".

i was once told that john denver (folk singer of songs like rocky mountain high and such) was on the tonight show one night.

he was a huge patriot and apparently had no love whatsoever for jw's.

apparently as the story goes, john gets up to sing a patriotic song and before he begins tells the audience "if there are any jehovah witnesses in the audience, you may want to leave right now.

we all know that the wts continous to spew nonsense about "satan and his hordes" and how they are always on the prowl trying to attack loyal dubs and stear them away from the troof.

my parents are hard core dub zealots still very much in the org.my mom will not hesitate to toss an inanimate object in the garbage if she suspects that it is "possesed".

so when you left, how long did it take you to shake the fear of them big bad deeeemunz?
