  I am hurt, my wife had a miscarriage and still my family didn't contact me

  two weeks ago my wife had a miscarriage at 11 weeks.

  it is very sad as it was to be my first child and my wife is already 39. what hurt the most though is that none of my immediate family contacted me.

  i was d/f in january and did not expect to hear regularly from my parents and sister.

  A Memo for my JW dad

  i have been daed for months but only recently, after having asked every and each person he could ask (even writting a letter to the wt), my dad decided he couldn't talk to me anymore.

  it has hit my non-jw mother very hard that her husband could do that.

  she cries a lot, but we are trying to be strong and hold ourselves together, and try in anyway we can to make him open his eyes..... tomorrow, i have decided to leave the crisis of conscience book on his desk with a with page on it, written on big black letters that will say.... "i was wondering if every man would be capable of shunning his own children and break up his family because of a group of men.. then i realised that no, some men have chosen to open their eyes and *truly* follow jesus, example...... with love, your daughter".

  I'm sorry to hear about the decision your dad made.

  You'd think grown ups could make decisions for themselves and not be told by someone else who to talk to.

  making decisions for a jw is never simple.

  every decision seems to be loaded with a 'what if' scenario and also, a 'what will people say' on top of that.. the april 15, 2006, is a classic for showing why the average jw is so messed up, it's amazing that he/she even knows what to put on in the morning!.

  'how can you make decisions god's way' is a classic for messing up, even the sanest head.. page 14 of this article:.

  Interesting experiment with your WT Library 1999 edition CD-ROM

  this may work with the newer versions but it only worked for me with the 1999 version.. you'll need:.

  1. your 1999 wt library cd-rom.

  2. winamp (a media player program that many of you probably already have).

  Working with STUPID PEOPLE!

  i have to get this off of my chest....i hate working with stupid people!

  i feel better now.. but seriously...you know what i'm talking about.

  why does it feel like everyone that i work with has a brain the size of a cherry pit?

  LOL I feel that way everyday.

  I work in Tech Support.

  I spent 30 mins telling one person, how to plug in one phone cord to the wall jack. It's not rocket science, people. Just common sense.

  a family in my congregation, who has recently fallen on some hard times, just had some hard times fall on them.

  last saturday, a very large tree fell right square on their house.

  no one was harmed, but it definitely hurt their wallets.

  My first year anniversary here.

  no birthday, wedding, first year at a job, first year of a relationship............none seem to bring so much introspective thought as my first year here.. i stumbled on this place looking for more jw's to hang out with online.

  i had no idea what i was in for.

  it did not take long to know that i was among my own kind.. deep thinkers come here to talk, discuss, argue, love, hate, heal, share, but mostly give.

  I was watching the TV show web junk last night. You know the show that shows you the funniest video clips from teh internet. And I thought how it would be interesting to submit this to them or to Ifilm. that would get a lot of coverage.
