  yep that would be them. Maybe the jws in my area were dumber than others.

  I'm glad jah keeps her healthy. She must be special because many others who follow Jah are going to bed hungry and sick. I guess she puts in more field service time than the others do.

  slimboyfat, even into my teens (raised JW) I thought the 6,000 years was literal. They hadn't made that very clear to me.

  I did a report in high school about how old the earth was. My mother called our bookstudy conductor to ask about how old the earth was because she wanted to make sure my facts were right. He said that the earth was 6000 yrs old. needless to say I got an F on the report.

  i have been married for over 30 years to a woman who was as good as i could have realistically hoped for and i probably am as good as she could have hoped for.. yet, over time, she has become less and less willing to respect my experience and conclusions concerning life.

  the signs of disrespect are a knee-jerk reaction to doubt and correct my point of view even before i complete a thought or sentence.

  while some of that can be seen in her mother and may be conditioned, my departure from the organizartion and her continued dedication to same has amplified her apparent inner distain.

  She is married to you...not the elders... are the elders going to take care of her if you leave? I don't think so. I would talk to her and tell her that you show respect and you expect her to do the same.

  i know that in one of the talks it was mentioned that we no longer use the wording "new system" it is "new world" - did anyone else hear that and if so, can u tell me what talk it was used in?.

  i think it was on sunday - my mp3 didnt record that day... thanks muchly.

  I remeber in the 80's being told not to use new world because it sounded like when Hilter wanted a new world order.

  I went to kindergarten at a JW school...talk about sucking ass. I was really smart they said so they moved me up to 1st grade after 6 weeks.

  I loved the 64 packe of crayons. When I grew up I wanted to be the person to invent another color. I just knew there was another color out there waiting for me to discover it.

  i find it interesting that i posted about 16 days ago concerning whether i should write a letter and.

  allow my ex wife to be free and marry.. saturday night she called out of the blue ( maybe there is a god upthere looking down) after 3 years of not talking to her and she wants to meets.. we met last night and after small talk about how we are both doing and family stuff, she asked me if i would write a letter.

  freeing her or releasing her from our marriage without admitting adultery, since i don't believe in the bible anymore,.

  The fact that Reniaa is advising you to write the letter should be conclusive proof that you should not write it.

  I agree with Mr churchill on this one. Don't write it especially if you still have a relationship with your JW daughters.
