Faith necessary to please God is a great mind control trick to encourage gullibility
by frankiespeakin inthe way i see it faith; as used in the bible and specifically in the book of hebrews is a powerful tool used to encourage gullibility, and strongly discourages critical examination.. "and without faith it is impossible to please god, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.".
it is of course true that when those words were first put down in writing there wasn't the vast accumulation of scientific knowledge we have in our modern times, there wasn't any telescopes, microscopes, atomic accelerators, satellites, or serious studies in anthropology & archeology.
and so faith in an unseen biblical deity was not met with the huge amounts of critical data, in fact for a sizable portion it was forced upon them with the threat of torture or loss of life(such as inquisitions,& being put to the question).. back in the days proceeding from when the official cannon was sanctified by both the politically&religiously minded early church fathers with the states approval or support "faith" as described in the book of hebrews became not only a necessity for future benefits, but became a life or death matter as the church through its political maneuverings became more and more powerful.. so as i see it "faith" or uncritical acceptance of a jealous and murderous and contradictorally loving deity is losing ground as a mind controlling device, but is still being used by those of the who preach the word for a livelihood but with less and less success on the more informed.. .

This is not about "blind faith", hardly, we don't see gravity, but it is there.
No you can't see gravity or the wind but you can see the the results of gravity and the wind.
What results can you see of god? I see a world full of people who like to start wars. I see children starving and dying. I see lots of violence. And people who have a need to control other people.
So what does that tell me about god: you can pick any one of the 5 results below.
1) he is dead
2) he never existed
3) he is alseep
4) humans made god in their image
5) he just doesn't care

I paid my mother rent ( for me living there) from the time I was 17 until I was 24. When I was 24 I ran off and got married. 15 yrs later still married to the same man. Well during our first year of marriage my mother would call and tell how hard of a time she is having paying her Mortgage now that I am not there paying her rent.
My hubby says well lets move in with her to help her out. It sould be less rent for us and that money can go to your mom. ( I am thinking hubby is crazy but lets give it a try anyway.) we didn't pay just half of her mortgage we paid two thirds because there was two of us and one of here. so we divided it by 3. so 9 months later hubby gets DF'd. I am PG with my 2nd child. mom says its ok that he is DF'd. Afterall both of her sons are. no biggie.
Well after about a month I guess being Df'd is a biggie, she asks my hubby to move. Not me just my hubby. I say where he goes I go. we left and didn't look back.
I heard that 7 years later she needed a place to live. So who does she all her DF'd son whom she had kicked out of the house over 20 years ago.
Sorry if my mom has dr bills she can ask her JW friends to help her.

Missing School Functions
by WTWizard ini know that the witlesses are not supposed to go to many school activities.
these include after-school sports and competitions, scouting, and other extra-curricular activities and class trips that may last beyond school hours.
the most cited excuses (flimsy they may be) are bad associations, the money, time, and the possibility of compromise.. now, i wonder how many people have missed field trips that happened during normal school hours because of being witlesses.

What Freedoms Do You Enjoy That You Couldn't As A Witness?
by minimus inas jws, we were in bondage to the organization, its rules and its whims.
now, we do not have to follow their direction and believe that whatever we were being told was by "theocratic" arrangement.. so, what freedoms do you have now that you have been liberated?.

Bitchy women at work..."hell hath no fury like a woman scorned!" Why girls?
by Witness 007 inso at work we had an middle eastern family get alittle upset due to a long wait, i think their culture tends to raise their voice a bit, their child was sick and they were worried, waiting for medicine.
while calming them down, one of the staff ladies is jumping in from behind under-cutting my calming speech with her interference....i asked her to back off.. well the women i work with did not like me "reasoning" with them witness style, oh no!
they wanted me to throw the mum, dad, child, mother in-law, out on their ass.

well it kinda depends on what field you work in. If it is healthcare every effort should have been made to calm the family down. everyone deserves respect and courtesy.
Now I have worked for some women who yell when the littlest thing goes wrong. But I ahve worked for some men who yell and punch holes in the wall of their office. I think we ( ,ale and female) can both get upset its just that it isn't expected from women like it is from men.

I would wish for always having the correct amount of money in my pocket for the item I wanted to purchase. That way I would always have money and wouldn't have to mention a certain amount.
I would also wish lifelong happiness and contentment for myself and family.
And I would wish for my family ( including our pets) to live forever
