i've seen it mentioned many times in many threads: "the society monitors jwd, don't post anything you don't want them to know etc.
i have even made that point myself in the past.. my question is this: does the wtbts monitor this discussion board?.
or have we all been propagating our own xjw urban myth?.

If youre an xJW like me, you shouldnt give a rat's ass if the WTBS, FBI, CIA, MIA, NAACP, IOO, DEA, CPP, PLO, FLQ, whatever is monitoring this site, that is unless you are planning some terrorist activity or something.

Yo, I could barely keep myself from uncontrollable laughter here...damn you are SO right Outlaw! I can remember doing ANYTHING to get away from the sessions...now that I think of it I dont think I EVER was really a JW, just playin the part...maybe that's why I am so distanced from the whole emotional aspect surrounding it...
Anybody remember pulling the following stunts?
- extended 'washroom' trips, which turned into forays out onto the street to a nearby arcade?
- finding a secluded stairwell to visit with youre favorite sister?
- 'volunteering' for cleaning or food duty, only cause you knew that you'd miss the max amount of talks?
- being an Attendant, 1 so you could be out in the hall and 2 so you could get to do the 'head count' (cmon guys, y'all know the real deal about the head count !!!!

Listen Dung (damn I hate callin ya that LOL), youre intentions may be noble, and if you plan to quietly protest from the other side of the street (after all, this is the standard that is enforced by police with almost any other public protest of any organization, funny how they don't give the JWs the same buffer zone...) I see nothing wrong with that......but I have a bit of experience with extremely bitter "apostates", ok? My father was one of them. The ones I always ran up against didnt set up an information booth or quietly hold a sign, they marched up nand down in front of the stadium, sometimes outright blocking the path of passerby's (once when I was an attendant I had to escort two 'worldy' people who said 'what the fuck is the matter with those morons, I aint a Java Witness" LOL) and most of them shouted and screamed at the top of their lungs. That IS fringe lunatic behaviour, sorry to tell ya!
Hey I just had a funny thought, remember when way back in the 20s or something the JWs used to picket the other religions' assemblies, with placards saying "Religion is a Snare and a Racket"??? I just had a vision of xJWs with a poster that read "JWs are a Snare and a Racket"...TOO FUNNY!!

Saintsatan....thats my point...get your self straight, and then get on with your life...there isnt a professional counsellor out there that would even remotely suggest that picketing a JW assembly will somehow help you to do that.
Dungbeetle Im going to ignore your attempt at personal barbs cause I know you have your own horrific past with the JWs, with which I empathize. However picketing a public assembly is quite simply anti-social behaviour, and the whole secular world looks at it that way. My wife, who has never been a JW and never will be, has said of the picketers outside the 2 Hamilton assemblies that she went with me to in the early 90s: "they just look like a bunch of fringe lunatics". Is that the image that you want to project, or do you want people to listen to you? Exactly what do you hope to accomplish by standing outside an assembly with a poster shouting anti-JW slogans? By the same token, do you go door to door or even just to JWs houses with your concerns? Picket the Catholic assemblies too (after all, they are rife with child molestors too, right? you went there, not me)? And lets say you could get someone to listen to you, where would you tell them to go? Do you have a church they can join instead? Or is it simply just to try and 'get them out'??? I only ask cause Im still waiting for one of these types to 'show me the way' to the 'right religion' or whatever...can't say I've ever been called on by one...
You can call me whatever names you'd like, it's still pathetic. Like I said, go to the beach.

Im sorry, but I always thought, even as a kid, that the xJws that 'preached' outside the assemblies were pathetic creatures who needed to get a life.
10+ years 'out', I still do.
Go for a picnic, go to the beach, enjoy your family, and most of all try and do something to take your mind off your bad experience with the JWs. Move on.
Personally I can think of a billion things Id rather be doing, but I guess Im selfish for not wanting to 'help' those poor JWs see the light...blargh...

Beans Im not discounting that alot of the depictions of Armageddon are gruesome in the WTS publications, but neither of the photos you provided have alot to do with a destruction of the WTC at all. In fact, you took them WAY out of context.
Here are the covers, the first one is not showing an air disaster at all, its showing a city with an airplane, which is upon magnification is clearly a Concorde jet. The second is a picture of the WTC, possibly, yes, but it also shows a tractor pulling DIRT, not an explosion as you so misleadingly tried to depict.

fathers day is coming up and this will be the first year that i will be getting my dad the card and a gift .
