CLARITY~~~I have another sister, my twin sister who also shuns me. We are 55 and my sister with the heart condition is 56. We were raised in the Org. I left it mentally 10 years ago, officially faded 5 years ago. Best thing I ever did. Peg

Have you grown detached from caring about JW family and old friends?
by tootired2care inafter being out of the borg for a year and a half, weve dealt with a lot of nonsense from local elders stopping by unannounced, well-meaning do-gooders trying to encourage us.
somehow weve managed to get through this without getting dfd/dad.
for me the worst part of it all has been that much of my family has shunned me, and stopped talking to me, as soon as they heard through the grapevine that i wasnt going to meetings.

ETUDE~~~sadly my sister does shun me. My still active daughter does not. I may still stop at the hospital. Just don't want to cause my sister too much stress with the condition she is in. It's a tough situation. Peg

My sister went into the hospital last night with chest pains. My still active daughter told me that she needs a new heart valve and bypass surgery. I asked if I could come to visit her and was told she is not comfortable with that. Surprisingly I am doing ok. I love my sister but you learn to let go. I would be there in a heart beat if she would let me. I hold her close always. Peg

New light on blood?
by Mickey mouse inthis is prompted by barbara's new article at freeminds and a message someone sent to my youtube account a month ago.. there are rumours that there will be "new light" this year about blood transfusions.
if this happens, i for one will be speaking up and asking who is accountable for all the lives lost due to the wt's death dealing policy.
this is an opportunity for all those who still have some connections with jws to make people think..

My daughter got 30 day private reproof for her blood infusion a year and a half ago. The do not automatically DF because they KNOW without a doubt this is a false teaching.
They did tell her that she lacked FAITH in the ressurection. This while her new born son sat in his baby carrier next to her.
They should be ASHAMED!!!!

Do "Thousands of JWs die each year" because they refuse blood? I say YES!
by AndersonsInfo inhttp://www.freeminds.org/blogs/musings-of-a-watchtower-insider/thousands-die-each-year.htm l. this blog article is solely my personal opinion, but i have tried to present important material for your consideration because i believe that one life lost to this blood-ban is one too many and there have too many deaths since 1945 and it's time something is done about it.
however you think on the subject, just wait until you read the conclusion of my blog article.
oh, by the way, all points of view are important to me and most welcome so i look forward to reading them here on jwn .

justpassing----Your words brought such pain! How many die each year from receiving blood????? Have you ever sat with someone who's blood was pouring out of their body? Who's lips went completely WHITE!!!??? My daughter NEEDED BLOOD!!!
The liason brother was there, he knew what was happening! In front of me to another elder he said "her husband BETTER make the right decision" . That meant, he better let her DIE!!!!
Well thank GOD or who ever, he made the right decision and she LIVED!
The punishment? 30 days private reproof. That is all.
I can not share again on this subject! It is to emotionally painful!

I am happy to tell you that my daughter chose to LIVE!!! My daughter, just two days after giving birth and just a few hours after being released from the hospital had a sudden and massive loss of blood. She was rushed back to the hospital and told the hospital staff that she was a JW and would not take blood. As her condition worsened and I mean her lips went completely white the Drs. told her "you are in serious trouble". She turned to he husband and wisely said, "I want to raise my son", please don't let me die.
They took her to surgery and stopped the bleeding but were unsure if she had brain damage or not. When her husband saw her come out of surgery, intebated and unable to breathe on her own, he consented to Blood. After 6 bags of red blood cells, two white and a bag of plasma, her blood level came up to 24. She was not transfused but infused, this is what they do to trauma patients as there is no time for a drip.
Today her son is 19 months old and he has his beautiful momma. If she has "obeyed" she would have DIED at age 27.
