Thanks for the info Narkissos, much appreciated. Be interesting to see what the outcome will be, I hope that they have to pay, its only fair.

just curious as i never did here what became of the tax penalty levied against the org.. are they still trying to fight it in court?
have they finally conceded to "pay ceasers things to ceaser" and pay the bill?
or have they hypocritically failed to prove good on their own councel and avoided paying the tax fine?

Figures that they would be deadbeats when it comes to paying, but heaven forbid some witness follow their actions because they would probably be disfellowshipped. This just seems so hypocritical to me on the part of the Org.
Thanks Honesty for giving me the scoop on that situation, much appreciated.

Sorry I should have stated that this is dealing with the tax on donations that was levied against the WTBTS in France. I guess I assumed the title was self explanitory, sorry for not stating this in my opening questions.

If so how did they do that and how do they justify it in accord with their teachings? Thanks if you can help.

an elder told me the book is jehovah's latest provision to cleanse his organization.. he said soon all people that have drifted, inactives, and others baptized and not complying with the biblical mandates for a jw, will be visited and given an option to shape up or ship out.. he said that if the person refuses the help offered by the congregation they'll be notified of the date of disfellowshipping and given time to appeal the decision.. he was so happy stating that this way jehovah's organization was preparing for the final clean-up before armageddon.
he sounded so convincing that it almost made perfect sense what he was saying.
i got goose bumps listening to his reasoning.. dy
Again if this is true and comes about I agree with Scully as she quoted:
"This is a tactic that demonstrates how terrified the WTS is of us. We know too much, and this is the only "legal" way they can "execute" us in a social and spiritual sense."
They don't want faded ones with firsthand knowledge of Watchtower bloopers that are still able to communicate with the R&F.
I also agree with Jula71 as she quoted:
"pretty much the only ones hurt by this drive by DF?ing would be faders. I?m willing to bet faders are not flushing money down the toilet and giving up funds. The WTBTS?s money won?t be hurt."
What fader who has disagreements or even problems with the org., is going to shell out money to give to the donation fund? Not too many are going to be big contributors who are on the fringe or inactive, so money is not a concern or an issue for the GB in this case. Its called cutting your losses, and unfortunately we would be the ones cut. Either way I still say let them do it if it is to be so, as Im not the least bit afraid of thier actions toword me. The only thing I will be sadened by is it will greatly limit my aim and ability to help any who suffer under the watchtowers yoke.

i've only heard of one and was wondering......
Ive heard of it, its not a big deal I dont think to the org. in letting them back in. The main worry they have and why the long period of wait for reinstatement could be due to their fear of such ones spreading the "truth about the truth" some time in the future to others. Thats my guess on why they prolong the reinstatement period, but their have been ones who have gone back but once your eyes have been opened its hard to re-close them and accept darkness.

One thing this will do though is give them an unfair advantage in my current chess game with them. Ive been up till now beating them at their own game with their own rules but this would end that. Maybe this is checkmate for me, either way I still win the game because Ive won my freedom from oppression. Let the games begin.

If this is true and is going to take effect then I say let it happen. It will only serve to further alienate ones who are on the fringe, but on the other hand maybe this is more directed at ones on the fringe then necessarily faded ones. The whack a few of us off and they hope that maybe ones who are irregular will sit up and take notice. Could this be a motivational tactic to pressure irregular ones into regularity? They can do whatever they please and myself I will DA before they will ever have the chance to DF me. If they follow through with this I absolutely 100% want to sever all ties with the watchtower permanently, DF is not enough for me. I don't ever want them to come back to my door, ever.

i know the jws try but imho they miss the mark because they do not all partake, as described in the bible, and they do not do the foot washing as commanded in those verses as well.
i am hard pressed to find a religion that actually does "do this in remembrance of me" as explained in the bible accounts by jesus.
does anyone know if there is a religion that tries to re-enact the event as it is described in the bible?
Yes the world wide church of God has changed and revised its Doctrines since the death of former founder and leader Herbert W. Armstrong. Sorry but its hard to remember every element of every cult. Apparently now it has shed its cultic begginings and embraced orthodox christianity. A full fledged apology was issued to all members after the death of H. Armstrong for the misuse and misguidance caused by its original doctrines.
Here is the quoted information about this from the Apologetics index. "Throughout most of its history, the Worldwide Church of God - founded and led by Herbert W. Armstrong - was, theologically, a cult of Christianity. Among other things, it rejected the doctrine of the Trinity, the bodily resurrection of Jesus, and salvation by grace through faith alone
.
Sociologically, the movement had many the characteristics of cults from a sociological perspective', CAPTION, 'Additional Information', SNAPX, '15', STICKY, TIMEOUT, '6000');" onmouseout="return nd();">cultic elements as well.
However, starting in the mid 1980's under Joseph Tkach Sr, and later his son, Joseph Tkach Jr. - the church's current leader - the Worldwide Church of God has undergone major changes in doctrine to the extend that is has rejected its heretical teachings, and instead has embraced orthodox Christianity. " Thanks for pointing that out to me Adelmaal. Ticker
Mouthy seems like a very nice and wonderful person. I am truly grateful to have her on this board and want to thank her for her upbeat and possitive attitude.
