we do not see them much, as we really dislike his wife, because she does a lot of drugs, stealing and overall lying.
although you would be hard pressed to get her to admit it, unless you actually witnessed it and saw it first hand like my wife and i did.

Sounds like your brother in laws wife is just a typical holier then thou type. She may feel guilty over her drug abuse n' such, and so feels she makes up for it by being too christian for halloween. Many people are like that, both among the witness's and outside of them.

Most certainly, Scientology labels it's former members as apostate. Their is just as for the JW's no honorable way of leaving the Scientology religion. They are in fact much more aggressive against defectors then most cults as they will go out of their way to destroy your credibility and financial status if you seek to expose them. Scientology has put a strong front on against many websites and even sucessfully suing a counter-cult agency. Now it runs a pseudo-cult awareness site, basically scientology being the wolf in sheeps clothing. Another rise and fall within the witness organization. You can spend years climbing the ladder of prominence only to have it greased and you fall right back down. All depends on who is in charge and if you got an in with them. Didn't realize he was such a Rutherford apologist but like stated their personalities were very well matched. Just kind of dissapointing to see him cower back to the witnesses in his final years after he was earlier castagated by them. He should have spent less time studying law and more time examining witness doctrine credibility.

Scarce at the kingdom hall
by justice for all ini heard that it was scarce at the kingdom hall last thursday night.
the speaker was asking those in attendance to look around and see who was missing and to call them and encourage them to come back to the meetings.

Well maybe more would attend if they quit guilting everyone into peddling thier propaganda and telling all that they are just not doing enough. Really who wants to drive with the price of fuel as it is, to go to a building that uses your hard earned donations keep the utilities paid up, only to be told for one to two hours 3 times a week how you are not doing enough. Or to be told everyone is becoming lazy and should be preaching and placing literature. Or better yet to be publicly humiliated in a kangaroo court and later an announcement made to all your associates damning your fellowship because you did something they didn't agree with.
I can think of alot better ways to spend my money if im going to only suffer difficulty, punishment and hardship. I would think this is maybe how many others are beginning to feel also.

Thursday meeting attendance was always the worst. Two hours of boring revamped pitch sales on how to be a better publisher and how to do more for the Watchtower. I can just imagine as time go's on people are going to get sick of being told their just not doing enough and will stop going. Meeting attendance is diminishing among the younger people.

Totally in agreement here. Their must be some moderation against that type of activity. When you post here I think its good to remember its real people we are trying to help and by trolling it only detracts from that purpose.
As for opinions though, it shouldn't matter and everyone should be entitled to their own without retribution. As long as their argument is honest it should be open to debate.
