Some people are just content with it Moshe but its usually only thoese ones who enjoy a preprogrammed life. They like control and regularity. They have invested way too long into believing the Watctower and now have much to lose.

JW dead at 83- duped for his entire life
by moshe ini saw an obituary last week- and elder i knew from the beginning had died- a faithful jw dub to the end.. he was baptised in 1939. his parents were part of the russell movement and died claiming to be annointed.
i just wondered how anyone could spend his entire life being duped by the watchtower propaganda.
i left so many tracts at his kh in 1989-90, that they posted a guard in the parking lot to keep me from hand billing the cars.

A concerted effort during a watchtower study?

what we need to come up with is something like crazies 586/7 list from watchtower sources showing the kings list.
then next time they have a prophecy watchtower study we could all go to different halls where no one would know us and have a prepared answer typed up with watchtowerese language something like;.

Had my first visit today

first visit since i moved.
i'm ready to bring up some real watchtower dirt and curious to see how their going to react.

Thanks for the suggestions goldminer, I'll try that next visit to have them prove from the bible if they bring up any so called revelations from God.
I may take Panda's advice too and invite them in for tea, then I'll show my evil apostate side by whipping out C of C, ask them a question that makes them actually think, and watch them run out the door as they cant answer. lmao
I just dont want to dicker with them too long, hoping next time they come we can get in a real debate on the Watchtower Society. They know already that im opposed to any Organization and their interpretation and Im guessing she is going to come and try to prove to me how "God must have an Organization". Should be fun because as I will counter with all of the Watchtowers failed phrophecies and show her how organizations fall short. Im going to treat it delicately as I don't want them to shy away from actually using their self autonomy and go into "ack its an apostate run!" mode.

Haha Yah their over 30 but I didnt say 'old' just older.
Thats a good idea though maybe I will do that but im sure they will ask what book im using. Maybe it wouldn't ring a bell though like you said. I know I never learned of "crisis of conscience" until after I started questioning the Witness's.

I'm ready to bring up some real watchtower dirt and curious to see how their going to react. They only tried pushing their literature once, I wasn't rude but refused it. I told them I respected only the bible and not mans interpretation which the magazines clearly were. They had to agree by knodding their heads but quickly blurbed some Watchtower rhetoric .
Clearly circular reasoning, I was amazed how they could not see it. I was also quite shocked by thier elusiveness as to what Witnesses believed on certain topics such as blood and demands on the members. I also brought up issues from the past to whicht hey wondered how I know so much about thier religion. lol I played innocent as I want to help them and not have them close down before getting serious thought on the misdirection of the watchtower. Im not their to subvert their faith but hope that some of my comments may wake one of them up and realize the Watchtower has duped them. Their desperate but these two at least havn't shut down yet and gone into Watchtower auto pilot. Interesting to see if they give up or will keep coming back for more.

WHAT'S NEW? DOORSTEP BIBLE STUDIES!
by stillAwitness inso i'm in service this morning and the young sister i was working with had what they call now a "doorstep bible study" .
its been encouraged by the fds that if one has a regular return visit with an interested one that one can hold a bible study by having them read one or two paragraphs out of the require brochure and ask the questions right at their doorstep.. i've never actually seen it done and boy let me tell you it was the most awkard, ridiculous thing i have ever seen!
the poor sister (who was nothing older thatn 15) is standing at the door having this grown woman read a paragraph out of the require brochure, and after having her ansewring the question and read a scripture she then then tells her she'll see her next week!

letters of D/A to congregation members
by scarecrow inhi all when my wife and i sent a registered letter of dissasociation to the watchtower socety ( georgetown ,ontario canada ) a few yrs ago, we regreted not sending copies to congregation members at the same time .we regret this because we wondered what the elders told them rather than convey our reasons for leaving .
also, had we done so could we have helped some others in eventually leaving.
i was wondering if any of you who wrote such letters of d/a to the elders ,ever wrote copies to the rank and file of the congregation .

It can be good to let ones know your decision and why because after the rumour mill gets going, they tend to demonize you for your decision. Most of them swear surely you must have done wrongdoing, they dont realize ones are leaving due to their consciences. Or because ones have awoken from their lies.

reading Proclaimers book
by MerryMagdalene ina very loyal and loving jw requested that i read the book jehovah's witnesses proclaimers of god's kingdom, sincerely confident that it will lay to rest all my objections and convince me this is indeed god's organization to which i must return right away.. ok, i will read it, but only because it's my mother that asked it of me, and she has tried so hard to be tolerant and understanding of where i am coming from as regards my firm stand in not returning.. i thought i would post my notes along the way in case they would be useful to someone else, and if anyone wants to add their own thoughts and notes i would be grateful.
chapter 1--why should jehovah have witnesses?.
since all references to such in the bible are pre-christian and refer to israelites being witnesses that their god, yhwh, is the god, the one god, the only god, and in a contractual relationship with them.
