Just another countless example of people giving up their lives and dreams in pursuit of the pipe dream that the watchtower uses as a carrot to manipulate people for their own means. Too bad but probably one day this couple will wake up and realize they took the bait hook line and sinker, but by then any chance of fullfilling their musical dreams will be vanished, only to be replaced by bitterness for the Org. due to its influence on their life decisions. A good example of the org sticking its nose where it dont belong in peoples lives and another case of a sucker being born every minute. Sad so Sad.

I think the main problem is the lack of tolerance shown by the JW's toword others and toword former members. While they cry out in the courts for legal recognition, equality, and freedom, they on the very flipside are the ones that are intolerant and try to supress the freedoms of others and former members. I think this has to be one of the biggest cases of hypocrisy I can imagine. Its all right for them to bash other religions but if anyone has a legitimate reason to expose the faults of the watchtower society then they are quickly branded as evil and now even as terrorist's. Just more and more double standards.

Apostates commit the unforgivable sin and will NOT be resurrected.

i posted this on another thread....but as usual, when i posted it, the thread died and so i thought i'd put it under a different subject as it's worth re-reading.. the society has always said nobody is the judge who commits the dreaded...."unforgivable sin", but they sure the hell do not having any trouble making a statement concerning apostates as commiting the unforgivable sin.. 1982 watchtower 4/1 p.26-28 .

" jesus told the unrepentant scribes and pharisees that they and their gentile proselytes were subjects for gehenna or, literally, sons of gehenna.

(matthew 23:15, 33-35; see also john 9:39-41; 15:22-24.

Just another fear tactic to keep loyal Dubs loyal. The Unforgivable sin is sinning against the holy and has no connection with the watchtower corporation. I just laugh at how they like to manipulate scriptures, pull them out of context, insert themselves and their corporation into the scriputre in place of God and his holy spirit, and then use them to manipulate and input fear into their followers. Very very typical of cult mind control and aggressive fear tactics used by high pressure control groups.

And I say Bull$hit to the watchtower, show me the biblical proof that not supporting their false claims is equivelent to sinning against the holy spirit. If anyone is guilty of this sin i would think they should point the finger back at themselves. Is this what we would call the kettle calling the pot black? Certainly appears that way.

YAY! I think I can now say that I have clearly emotionally and intellectually left my JW past in the past! I no longer think in JW terms or thought, no longer support their claims, no longer believe they could have been on the right track, no longer believe in any way that God could have ever backed this group, and cannot see much for positive results from this religion. I view the world and thoese in it as exciting ventures, to be able to meet new people, places, and friends and not feel the least bit bad about it. I have shed all my indoctrinated guilt and fear and I feel so relieved and so free. I think I did it! I think I can say that I am now an EXJW! And it feels so good, a real relief from all the JW guilt and control that I use to subject myself too.

Again I want to thank all of you here for helping me with your many posts and for the multitude of information available out thier that expounds the real truth about the truth. Killing the WTS subtly programmed ideas.

after leaving the jws can you recall any instance(s) where more or less suddenly becoming aware of a hitherto unconscious wts idea(s) subtly programmed into your mind, brought a great positive change in your persective of things and your overall disposition?

(once a subconscious idea is brought up to awareness it is easier to dispose of.

or perhaps the above happened when you really grasped the meaning of a programmed idea you were always consciously aware of.

For me the one of the biggest and best realizations was that the world is not black and white as the witnesses try to represent and enforce. Actually I find the world is very colored and has shades of grey but no black and white, that means for me that the world and the people in it are a very exciting and interesting part of life. Its exciting when you see the world for what it really is, just a bunch of people all trying to exist and cope, and that their are alot of good people in this world. Ive done alot more travelling since my exit from Jdubism and I have found that people living in other countries and with different ideas are strickly that, people with different ideas but they are still good hearted people. My experience even though their are genuine hearted people in the witness religion has been that true friends are seldom found within the JW walls but rather they are more readily found in the world. And also I carry no JW prejudice, people in the world are not scary but rather quite interesting to meet.

A controlled zombie for 32 years

thats right a controlled zombie-how could i have so stupid?

how could i give up my father & mother-how could i give up all my friends?when i look in the mirror i see an old man that is no longer young--and they still are not out of my life--they still come by and leave magazines---i dont want to be mean--but they just dont get it--after reading about the 2 books by ray franz and reading diane wilson:s book---there probably is a few more bomb shell books that will come out--maybe we havent heard anything yet--who knows whats around the corner lol..you might be in for a shock-i heard that in the hall i used to go to no longer announces the attendance--could it be a trend that will go throughout the world?

i have even heard of kingdom halls beeing sold-also in their new book- they wont be having all these investigations of the flock--they will just announce from the plat form that john doe is no longer a jehovah witness---that is better--it saves a lot of stress and nonsense--maybe the jerks are doing something that makes sense for a change--that will break my heart to say i am no longer a jehovah witness----thanks hag

I Too was duped into their thinking for 25 years, its depressing to think of the wasted years and emotional manipulation and abuse, but I just count my blessings that I was able to get free of the matrix. Swallowed the right pill I guesse.

Does the WTBTS still control your life?

do you follow the arrangement dictated by the governing body of jw's regarding df'd and da'd individuals?

do you shun the jw's like you are expected to by wt leaders or do you speak to jw's and greet them with a smile even if they shun you when you do so?

in complying with wtbts rules of acceptable behavior for da'd or df'd persons do you think that you are showing unconditional love to your neighbor?

And those who "Da'd" themselves, they willfully severe the ties THEMSELVES, so they know exactly what they're forfeiting and shouldnt expect to be able mingle with other witnesses like nothin has happened.

You make it sound like its such a loss. lol Haha forfeited them controlling my life forever and carrying me along in a pipe dream, all the while slaving to meet their ends by measuring up to their set quota of hours. Who honestly after recognizing the WTBTS for what it is, a financially focused religious based publishing empire, would want to not forfiet that yoke of slavery.

Sorry but that comment just made me laugh. Can't imagine how one could consider essential freedom of life and natural god given free will as things that are corrupt, and choosing these over a high control group's demands is equated to forfeiting some huge reward. I understand though their mentality as I once to was an indoctrinated witness.

Freedom is a gift given freely to each and every individual but is also the one thing that is most often stolen from people.

Self denial for the sake of the WTS?

as a jw were you really willing to make sacrifices, great and small, for the "truth" or did you feel deep down that it wasn't worth it?

when did you decidedly say no to being self denying for the sake of the wts?

No doubt S4 no doubt.

Its sad to think about all the wasted time one put into forwarding a corporate organization instead of bettering ourselves. Even though indoctrinated witnesses would call that selfish reasoning it is absolutely disgusting on the organizations part in their selfishness, to devour lives only to further their physical gain. How can they deny this fact because if your not making the quota you get brushed aside real fast, same with any df or da, just streamlining and trimming the loose threads. How is that loving or God inspired and get this the benefit plan is assuming that you arnt first df'd after thirty years of service or fall behind in your numbers is "Brothers and Sisters! You can still do more, the tendency is to become lax!" Just sounds like heavy loads bound up on shoulders with them not budging a finger to lighten the burden. These ones after giving their lives can be tossed to the wayside if they dont measure up to a non biblical scale of policies, I just dont see the love in that. Pardon me if im blind but I still dont see how the org equates these measures with love.

Witness parents choose to tranfuse baby to save life

just wanted to share some exciting info on a recent experience of a witness couple.

their young baby very unfortunatly was struck with leukiemia and requiered a blood transfusion to save its life.

fortunatly the parents had enough sence and logical reasoning to save their babys life by listening to the medical staff and proceeded with the transfusions.

Well here is the official update on this story. I talked to the family and the child is fine and recovering as normal as possible. They are still pretty shook up over the whole ordeal but all in all they are handling it quite well. I think their beggining to realize that life is not black and white as the watchtower trys to make it seem. In fact for no longer associating and no longer attending the memorial the family member I talked to seemed very understanding and unjudgemental. She even stated that she loves us and she dont care what they say about shunning we are still people. I think its a big victory in the case of the child and a start to the chipping away at the watchtowers prison walls. I hope someday all can be free of its enslavement.
