i think i mentioned it in a previous post (on an unrelated subject) but can't find it.. when i was at brooklyn bethel (1974 on) i remember a comment that was made at the breakfast table (over the loud-speaker system) by someone recapping for the "family" the acquisition and remodel of the old towers hotel and the tunnel that was being constructed to connect that property with the rest of the complex.

it struck me even then (although as a good witness i quickly ignored it) how the speaker, with an air of disdain, proclaimed how they had found a shaft that apparently had been used for the "underground railroad", which smuggled slaves, had been promptly filled in with dirt and kept under wraps so that the brooklyn historical society could not stop the work.. has anyone else heard of this incident?.

Are You For or Against Abortion?

Im not making an argument with this post but clarifying a very misunderstood fact that not all abortions are commited on unconscience fetus's. They are carried out as late as nine months! I dont know if my earlier post was invisible to everyone but I already stated this well know fact.

Albeit in an as yet unconscience state! Tell that to the nine month old dying in a chamber not being fed or given any fluids, screaming to death as nurses walk by and ignore it. We treat criminals better! Least they get lethal injection and its over in a matter of minutes. Some babys lie dying for over a week, how is this humane?

One who fills out a membership form and pays the required fee so that he will be entitled to regular use of the organization's recreational facilities becomes a part of that organization. And it must be borne in mind that all these religious systems that are not serving Jehovah God are part of Babylon the Great. Joining such an organization is an act of apostasy. How unwise it would be to assign bodily exercise such a prominent place in our lives that we would compromise our faith to engage in it! (1 Tim. 4:8)
Of course, it ought to be borne in mind that becoming a card-carrying member of an organization such as this is different from renting their facilities on a particular occasion for a stipulated price. On occasion, auditoriums and swimming pools have been rented from these organizations for use in connection with an assembly, but that is not the same as entering into an alliance with the organization as a member of it.

Oh of course its ok for the Watchtower to support and pay the ymca when it advances their own motives but on the same note the average JW doing much the same thing is committing apostasy. Oh I just love the Watchtower double think and double standards. They sure like to use double standards on a regular basis when it favors them, but then threaten the flock with excommunication for the very same act. A bunch of lying hypocrites, and im sad to think I used to belong to this religion.

President Kennedy's assassination: big conspiracy or lone gunman?

do you think that john f kennedy was killed in dallas in 1963 by a lone psychopathic gunman -lee oswald- or by a large conpiracy that included the cia, the mafia, the military and many others.

hundreds of books were written on the subject and 85% of americans believe that it was a conspiracy though the mass media world always believes that a lone gun man did it.

Ive actually studied this case out of my own curiousity and the conclusion as to the projectory path of the bullets and the angles in which they entered showed evidence of up to three different locations in which shots were fired. Lee Harvery Oswald was a scapegoat in my mind and someone to pit blame on. The rapid succession of in which the shots were fired would be very difficult from his location. I also recently talked to a former army officer who is a close friend and he stated that it was a inside job. CIA was involved and that it had a connection with JFK being democratic. Who knows for sure, but I say conspiracy from the inside.

Bogus Reinstatement...

here's the story.. i was df'd over a year ago.

i was raised in the truth and was an elder for 23 years.

In this way, my reinstatement would bring about the communication that I need to make the changes and my fade means that I would be able to do this without stepping another foot inside a KH.

You may gain your family hopefully in this way, but remember that even faded ones are treated much the same as disfellowshiped ones. You will find that most in the congregation will not utter a word to you or even look your way if you are not a regular attender. Hopefully your family will not follow this same procedure. Just a word of advice from my experience.

My weekend is horrible. Lost out on a job of a lifetime due to a reference that snaked me. He said he was going to be a good reference and then he snaked me out of jealousy. Yah so not so good for me.
