for music lovers everywhere.. don't buy cd's from supermarkets.please.thats an order!.
there just been a report in britian that supermarkets are increasing their share of the recorded music market by selling cheap cd's.. why is this bad news?surly if you can get a cd from tescos for a tenner instead of 15 quid this is good?noooooooooooooooooo.. i say that again , no.. lets look at it.supermarkets can sell cd's and other items cheap because they make a profit on the other goods you buy.they use the offer of cheap cd's to entice you into their store.they only sell chart cd's otherwise they will make a loss on more obscure music which won't sell in bulk.. if you love music and wish to buy music or listen to good new music in the years to come, you are shooting yourself in the foot if you buy your music from supermarkets at a lower price.it is a false ecomony.this is why.when you hear a piece of music you like in a few years time which is not chart music and go to you local independant or specialist music store you will see a big sign on the door ,closed.they will have shut down because lack of sales when all their customers went to the cheapo market ment they could no longer survive.. they had to charge more for music becausea.it was the only thing they sellb.they stocked all types of music and would not make money on some bands and would make up for it with more popular bands.cthey could get the music you wanted on special order if they didn't have what you were looking ford.they had knowledge of music and bands which was readily available to you if needed.and a good few other things.. you are not saving anything if you buy cheap.if you like music you need to support the peole who want to supply it,and offer quality, which in the case of music includes choice, not just marketed corporate crap, not those in it for a quick buck.they need to charge more but have a far greater range of product, one which a supermarket will never have,ever.. you have been warned.
Gee, I buy blank CD's as low as 20 cents. Mass production record companies obviously get them even cheaper. It seems that $14.99 is a high price to pay. I think the artists are getting screwed more by record companies than by consumers buying cheapo Cd's.
As for the independant specialty cd stores, I believe their niche is assured.
I . It is important to find a woman that cooks and cleans 2. It is important to find a woman that makes good money 3. It is important to find a woman that likes to have sex 4. It is important that these three women never meet
i have just finished reading crisis of conscience and thought it was great.
never before has the gb been exposed as a bunch of men turning their personal opinions into law for millions like this book has.
instead of being a group of men transformed by holy spirit into bible scholars devoutly pouring over the scriptures, they are just bumbling men, inferior to the great philosophers of humankind that they put down for their "empty teachings.
Heres another 1 star review which TRULY shows the writer has his/her head up their ass:
This book is well written with many insights into the ways in which a large organisation are run. However, I am afraid that is where the commendation ends...
For a start, a person who leaves a religion and attempts in his own mind to justify himself by writing a so-called expose is kidding himself. What seems even more disturbing is that Franz appears to believe in a God still. Maybe this is his problem? Maybe his weakness is blaming a religion which did not satisfy him personally?
One has to wonder why this reviewer finds it disturbing to believe in God after leaving the dubs. And of course, Ray didnt simply leave-he was DF'd unfairly.

Yep, been there, done that years ago at a job with a co-worker. I think the best time was at a company picnic-we snuck off into the woods for quite some time. We got some smart remarks when we returned, but the funny part was, so many were taking walks in the woods that day in between picnic activities, LMAO!!!
just curious as to who is single and who is not on this board.i have been with my boyfriend going on 3 years now.
we just moved in together in feb.for the most part we get along great but he has some weird habits.he also thinks i spend too much time on this site(which i do...but heck i finally belong!!
)so its hard to relate to him on the subject.he thinks i should just forget about it.sometimes i think i might be better off with someone who has more or less been where i have.
there are some that are obvious and then others that just baffle me to no end..... yes i am talking about your user names.... do any of you have stories behind them or are they significant for some reason or are they just a word you made up?.
mine...well its easy.... i got the nickname of spicy back in nov of last year when i dyed my hair this crazy red color and the name of the color was "spiced ginger".
the rest of it is because i love to make things more interesting---- sorta of like adding a bit of spice to the stew (hopefully i come across as that as well .
My user name is quite simple-I work in a bar and often have to get kegs and cases of beer for the barmaids. Another name I use online is GrooveRiderY2G. Again very simple-I am p/t disc jockey. The "Y2G" part is just an urban variation on the Y2K stuff so prevalent a few years ago.
