  hi amazing,.

  i just played catch-up on your last few installments of justice series.

  ty for sharing your experiences with this board.. your series really highlights several aspects of jw "justice" (for lack of a better term).. 1-inconsistency of how a particular "sin" or indescretion is handled.. 2-lack of training in matters which are highly emotional in nature.. 3-how personality conflicts or a preconcieved idea about a certain person can stand in the way of impartiality.. i look forward to the remainder of your series.. boozy

  obviously a lot of you are no longer jws, for whatever reason, but surely you can find something better to do with your time.

  you seem to spend a lot of your spare time slating the society or picking holes in your former beliefs.. if you've left and think what jws believe is a load of rubbish, thtat fine, you cn do what you want, but why you have to go on about it?

  if being a jw means so little to you, why not just leave it behind and get on with your life?

  It is truly amazing how many J-Dubs constantly show up on this board and attempt to challenge so-called apostates right to educate others. Of course, the first thing that comes to mind is the fact that people like Tedcobb, Humble, Redline is the fact that they are being disobedient little children. Mommy(WTS) would be very very upset with the likes of you if she knew you were associating with apostates. You may even need a "time out"(DF'd) LoL

  Tedcobb of course, as all j-dubs do, misused the term apostate, saying that those here function as apostates to undermine the WTS(jehovah organisation as you put it). APOSTATES are opposed to GOD, many here are not. And.....the WTS has been sucessful in undermining itself....they just shield the TRUTH from the Rank & File.

  Perhaps you saw the thread "HOUSTON, WEVE GOT A PROBLEM" by You Know.
  Did you notice that so-called apostates responded and wished for the safety of YK's relatives? (btw, YK has spewed hatred for "apostates" here and on other boards )
  In a related story, perhaps you saw the outpouring of sorrow about those who drowned at the convention at the Astrodome. Yep, once again it was these so-called apostates here.
  Tedcobb, Humble...my advice to you is OBEY your MOMMY, stay off the Internet unless you are TRUELY seeking the facts, or end up as bitter and battle-scarred J-dubs like FREDHALL and YOU KNOW.

  Selecting Judicial Committees

  several threads on this board have contained comments about elders with axes to grind "volunteering" to serve on judicial committees.. the society's intructions have always indicated that only the best qualified brothers should be used.

  skill, years of service and familiarity with the type of problem at hand would be factors in the selection.. close friendship or indications of animosity might disqualify one if other qualified ones were available.. the elder body was entrusted to name the best trio of brothers for the particular situation.. .

  in actual practice, it usually worked this way.

  Yes, I know the "stock line".
  Here are a few more details....
  Jw#1 was an active witness, JW#2 was inactive.
  JW#1 continued to attend meetings as the JC's considered the issues, JW#2 did not.
  So, who had the works befitting repentance?
  But my main point is this-their mutual friend Elder D should have left off BOTH JC's.

  p.s.JW#1 went on to appeal the decision. Even tho the Appeal Committee recommended less severe dicipline, the JC disagreed, wrote the WTS, and their decision was upheld. JW#1 continued attending for about a year or so, became demoralized, then gave up.
  JW#2 was never seen at the meetings again.

  Yes, this stuff is real. I have a female friend who confides in me. Her current affair (shes married) started in chat rooms, then cyber-sex.....now ACTUAL visits.
  It is very dangerous to any relationship. I think you both should STOP getting your jollies off on the Net (porn included) and seek counseling if you truly desire to save our marriage.
  That said, maybe its just me, but porn (photos or movies) just DONT do for me.

  Hi TMS...interesting post.
  But what about a scenario where Elder D is good frinds with 2 people on opposing sides of a Judicial matter?

  Elders A B C are assigned to investigate JW#1 and Elders D E F are assigned to investigate JW#2.

  In this scenario, there are 9 Elders in the congregation.

  Is this fair?
