  Does any heard about the "LORDS WITNESSES"

  hi guys.

  today at work someone another department said they recived a fax from the "lords witnesses".. at first i thought the dubs cant be preaching by fax????????

  but konwing the dubs anything is possible, any how i read the fax and i have never heard of this outfit.

  My daughter has a brain tumor :(

  i am so terrified!.

  #2 daughter came home from college on 12/18 with a violent headache, nausea, neck pain and great fatigue.

  we took her to the dr. on the 20 and again on the 21st as she had kept nothing down for 3 days.

  first creditcard acceptpoints in congreshalls in the netherlands, now an internet creditcard donationsite, official of wts brittain.

  just see this as using only new technics for getting donations or is it big business now?

  Point taken,

  I have a few questions though.

  Do they need to print all that liturature,is all of it really being used?

  Do they need to have state of the art facilities to meet and worship god?

  Do they need to pay for all of these circiut overseers and the like?

  In printing mass amounts of literature,there are costs of shipping,manpower,distribution,all of wich is put sqarely on the rank and file.

  I say this because,they claim to be no part of the world,but the cost of this religion has gone way to far.Maybe the could print 1 magazine a month.Have meetings 1 a week and rent a modest hall to have it.Does god really care about material things?I just believe it's overboard,and they need to justify thier spending.

  I think these ideas are never discussed,and I dont know why.

  When I was a child,the elders in the hall wanted to remodel the kingdom hall,that brought it up during the announcements,and pitched a big reason why we needed to remodel.The hall we had was perfectly fine,maybe a tad outdated,but who cares,right.Wrong.They basically strongarmed the non-elder brothers to commit to pay for this uneeded remodeling,my father being one of these,and if you didn't go along with the program,you were looked down on.

  Now shouldn't it be up to the leaders thatm jehovah has "appointed"to see that this was foolish.Should't the organization have said the money could be used to help with something more spiritually beneficial.

  I guess I just think about what jesus stood for ,and I think this organization has lost that,if indeed it ever really had it.

  when i was a very young child my mother told me the government would one day be rounding up j.w`s and putting them in concentration camps.when we were collected,i was to wear my warmest coat and boots,as we would probably be there until god destroyed the wicked at armageddon.i was told never to give up my belief`s,even if i were forced to burn my parents alive..got any good "wb&ts childrens horror stories" to share?...outlaw

  As always,witness mentality is to go worst case scenario.

  Valianboys example was right on about the crosswalk story.They don't mention that hundreds of people have crossed the highway and survived.

  I used to think a 50 lb hailstone would land on me at armegeddon,also,whenever it was very cloudy or stormy looking out I would be afraid it was the start of armegedon.screwed up,but maybe I should take the good out of that and not whine or remember.

  they obviously DON'T believe in reform or changing anything other than thier false prophesies.

  But that is true,I don't know whats going thruogh anyones mind but my own,that was just speculation.

  people who defend the governing body say"well they don't get paid"&"they have sacfificed for jehobah".

  Why do people work,for the most part its to pay the bills,buy food,have a few pleasures here and there----Hello,these men get all that,plus HUGE power and ego trip to boot,for free.

  Look at your local elder,they get glorified on a small scale,but hey,its still not all bad

  CO's and DO's get even more accolades-plus free car ,free place to live,free meals{specially designed for them}and they see the country and are treated like kings--at least mentally---what a deal!!!!

  Imagine the power and ego these men at the top must have,not only do they think thier special,they have 6 million dopes that think thier special too.They dont work,they can have a wife,they have nice meals aruond the clock,beautful place to live,good looking younger women eveywhere that want to kiss thier old asses----this is an old religous mans dream.

  Crooks,no,they fooled thier own minds a long time ago.

  Sincere,hell no-but they'll fake it,just so long as thier ego's are stroked till the day they die
