Do you ever think that you will stop JW-bashing and get on with your life?
by booker-t ini was recently talking to a girl in my psychology class who told me that she use to be a jw and was df'd in the mid 1990's.
this girl shocked me because usually ex-jws are so unhappy and miserable and spend most of their time complaining about the "evil" wt society.
she told me that when she was df'd alot of ex-jws swarmed towards her trying to get her to "bash" the wt but she refused.

I was thinking of forbidding my wife from taking the kids out in service
by Check_Your_Premises init is summer time.
the kids are out of school next week.
my wife is a newly dunked dub, who goes out in service on thursdays.

by RichieRich inmy mom isnt a big fan of guns, but after being mugged once, she appreciates the value of a well placed firearm.
she doesn't mind that i hunt and go to the shooting range regularly with my father.
about 6 months ago, i was out in field service with my mother and an elder's 2 daughters.

I was born into that crackpot religion,so I had no choice,and for years,any choices I tried to make or my family made was solely based on that crap.I left that cult when I was 17,I'm 24 now and and am finally free of it mentally.When you are in that JW world as a child,being told by the people you think you should trust that the world is coming to an end,all your worldly friends are gonna die,only jdubs are going to survive,not to mention being made to stick out,not allowed to play sports,be in drama club,not allowed to even think about liking anyone but a shallow cold fish jw girl,be stunted mentally,physically,emotionally,all while being encouraged to be a magazine peddler during what should be your happy years.I will never stop bashing that cult to people when given the chance.I hate that I was ever a part of it.Also,every witness uses the catholic church as it's personal bashing tool.Agian,jdumbs can say whatever they want about anyone they want,but if you say anything about them,your an apostate. I have gotten on with my life----thanks to all you bashers out there,keep bashing that cult.STP

Cholesterol and heart disease myth or reality?

half the people that suffer heart attacks have ?normal?

Would you share a winning lottery ticket???..help please
by morty inok, so here is the situation...... yesterday, i had bought a scratch ticket and i won 20.00 bucks on it...i was heading back to the store to cash it in but, not all of it...i wanted $17.00 in cash and in addition i wanted another ticket..as i was heading out the door, my brother asked to come with me to grab a few things at the store as well...this was not a problem....he got into the van and we headed off to the store...once we arrived to the store, i was still smoking my cigarette so i asked my brother to cash in my ticket for me and grab me another ticket and my $17.00 bucks while i wait in the car.
he said "sure, no problem"...at the same time, he asked me for a loan of $10.00 bucks.
i gave him the money with no questions asked.
