Utter poppycock and a waste of good people's time as they shift the dead weight from one buttock to the other in folding chairs.
awesome.
one of these was political.
(a) what attitude do gods people take toward the political rulers?
question 19. how are world powers portrayed in the book of revelation?.

so who was building babel? is this after the flood. so his cousins built it? excuse me if this is a stupid question
They are all part of the earthly organization that God and Christ judge as deserving of executionwould the UN be in this group too? it sounds like its not too hard to get lobbed in with the 'deserving of destruction' class. if only the rank and file reading this knew the real JW history

Well i have a brother and father in the troof that will talk to me and if i can word it properly without using too many trigger words theyll listen to my concerns about the religion, they know the UN thing plus 1975 and 1914 etc. Ive told them about the blood issue and that it scares the hell outa me, they are like 'whats the big deal' so i sent them the below email. My brothers unbeleivable response is at the bottom. I just have to tell myself that they only get their info from the WTS but I didnt think thayed be this brainwashed. Hes actually a cool funny guy but he obiously has some serious adjusting to do.
Hopefully I can get through.
If anyone can rebut point by point so i can really hit the nail on the head with my reply to his email.
thanks

THE NAMES listed in this Memorial constitute only a small sampling of the victims who should be included, according to published statistics. Relatively few cases come to the attention of the news media because a police accident report was involved or because doctors asked courts to intervene. When adult JWs are admitted privately to hospitals and sign legal release papers, their deaths due to refusing blood are generally recorded only in confidential patient files. Published obituaries usually omit such details. Names are listed here if reported in the public news media or if submitted by relatives, friends, or other knowledgeable individuals who vouch for the information.

HERES THE REPLY; PUKE ALERT!
'hey XXXXX thanks i read. some true and some baloney. but just so you know its not always the truth when the media headline reads 'jw dies refusing a blood transfusion'. in an operation theater the patent never dies just because of no blood transfusion. its when theres complications during surgery thats what kills them. also the fact that some would have died even if they took blood. there are risks both ways and that has to be taken into consideration. mabey you should do a survey on all the people that have died through complications using blood, or have serious sickness after. if it was so dangerous why are there alot bloodless hospitals. and its proven that bloodless surgery is better and safer the technology now is that they can do open heart surgery with like 60 ml blood loss.
also the brother that had his leg bitten off in a shark attack in WA when had to dive an hour or so 4x4 then met by the ambulance and then a helicopter as well to get to the mediical room is alive and well mate. '
SCARY
i've been posting here for quite a long time, so long in fact that it just doesn't feel right that my wife isn't a part of it.
earlier today i created an account for her with the username heron, she'll know why.
i'm not sure if my wife will ever post here but i would feel much more comfortable knowing she is aware that i do.. this is the one post i am going to ask her to read.. so, i'd really appreciate it if you could say hello to my lovely wife.
hi
excuse me if i'm being cynical, but i've had my own experiences with [b]organized religion, though it was non-jw.
the group i was affiliated with demanded that full fledged members tithe (10% off the top of your income; pre-taxes), and a donation basket was also circulated at nearly every gathering in addition to tithing.
even kids were encouraged to participate; they would give them little envelopes to put loose change into and put in the basket.
Woah, after reading poles post, im might have to take back that they dont 'push' for contributions
that articles a worry. Imagine the family members finding out someone left the family estate to the wts
ouch

No Titheing.Ill have to agree with dennis (im guessing thats not his real name) on this one, although we were reminded to 'keep in mind the contribution box' In my 22 years a JW I prob gave $50 and noone ever knew or said anything to me. I did some mowing lawns, hall cleaning etc.also to pay my way. Theres no doubt the WTS is filthy rich. Theres no doubt they are the biggest tight arses in the world... yep id say the world. They dont need any money what with the end so close, oh hang on they need it for legal battles against abuse survivors talk about layin in the slipper. No plate to be passed.
All on "Voluntary" bible based, contributions from the heart. If your broke or rich your not required to give anything.
Christ said, quote"You recieved free, you give free", no charge. The Gospel or Kingdom is without charge.
just feeling a bit fed up.
it's not always like this i know but i'm wondering if life would be far easier for me and my wife if i just drew a line under all my efforts to maintain a relationship with my jw mother, brother and sisters.
all the rejection, judgementalism and condescension gets a bit much after a while.. how many here actually said 'goodbye' to their jw family and can honestly say they did not regret it?.
I respect their right to disrespect me and people important to me.
Gold call garybuss.
Ill say this one to my dad
so I have to respect your right to disrespect me??. awesome.
Do you believe in God?
because you will when I take my shirt off.
Guido
Yes.
Sex is so pleasurable that only a supreme being could have done that.
Sex as evidence for god? Hmmm, guess I need to get on my knees and worship!
lol can you feel the spirtual bessings sister! I think I was just saved.
