Basicly the whole "Anti-Christ Superstar" CD from Marilyn Manson works for me.

The whole DFing thing is such a power trip for those in the higher end of the organizations spectrum. I think they find it fun to screw with people's lives.

Prayer doesn't cure the sick, says study
by Elsewhere inhttp://www.physorg.com/news5205.html.
prayer doesn't cure the sick, says study .
praying for people who are facing heart surgery does not raise their chances of a cure or of avoiding death, according to an unusual study published this saturday in the british medical weekly the lancet.

Dustin
Well, at least those studies are accurate. Praying to nothing isn't bound to cure much.

Are you Sharing?
by prophecor ini was one, when in, that believed it was the best thing to share your talents with those of the bretheren.
where you a plumber, a carpenter, an auto mechanic?
then it would behoove you to take those skills and give them to the community of your brothers and sisters.

Fortunately for me I have no useful skills. The only thing I was good for was last minute talks, but in the end that priveledge was gone anyway.

LMAO - I would use the head as a Wilson volleyball.
I would eat the guy. Why not? But I would use some of him for fish bait, not a bad idea.

Would you go to a funeral at the Kingdom Hall?
by Dustin inso my brother and i have been having talks about what will happen when our dad passes away eventually.
most of his brothers and sisters have died in their 50's or early 60's.
i flat out refuse to attend any part of the service that would be done at the kingdom hall.

Xjwms, my dad is a house painter who hasn't worn a paint mask in 20 years (not real healthy). He has had various ailments over the years. Family history is also not exactly on his side, as 3 of his older brothers all died at about the same age as he is now. My brother and I had the discussion, because he has been feeling worse, and has absolutely no insurance. So we were determining what we would do when that time comes.
The disagreement between my brother and I came regarding the Kingdom hall. I know it will be his wish for the service to be done there. I just don't see it possible for me to return there again.

Did you ever see an elder with a 2 door car?
by JH in.
i already bought 2 door cars, and the witnesses didn't like it... i felt looked down upon, as it was a sin to buy a 2 door car.. now imagine an elder buying a 2 door car....

It's funny, I was actually told to not take my two door car to the service meeting. That seemed kind of stupid since my other vehicle was a truck. I drove the 2 door out in service once. All I heard was constant complaining because the person in back didn't have a window. Oh well, at least I don't have to worry about that anymore.

I guess for me it's just an overwhelming sense of sadness that it ever had to come down to this. My dad and I are so alike in so many ways. Yet, even though my brother is living with a girl, and is still "technicaly baptized they have no problem talking to him everyday. But, I speak my mind one time about how they are being brainwashed by the jw's and I am now the evil one. Funny how hypoctical that seems to me. Anyways, it will be a tough decision of what to do.

Outoftheorg - That's really good advice as well. I know the time to make the decision isn't now, but I have been trying to evaluate what I am going to do when the time comes. I really hope they see the organization for what it is before that time comes, but it seems very doubtful. It's all they know, and they sadly believe it to be "the truth" based on brainwashing and blind faith.

Blondie, that's what I'm afraid of. I couldn't handle hearing about the resurection "hope". I would be sad and pissed at the same time then. I think I am going to stick to my guns about not attending any kind of JW service.
