Barney, it all is a matter of perspective. What one person feels is right or wrong, another may completely disagree with. That's the beauty of humanity. Everyone has different thoughts and feelings. Yet, we all have to abide by the laws and jurisdictions of the governments set in place, or we face the consequences.
So your point about weed doesn't really matter. If you get caught with weed I'd like you to tell the cop it's O.K. because God gave us all the plants.

As far as I'm concerned everyone has a right to live their life as they see fit. I have no problem with an alternate sexual lifestyle. I am heterosexual, but other people have aright to be whatever they want. If a man being with another man, or woman with another woman is what they desire then I hope it makes them happy.

It just bothers me that I have been taught about this all powerful creator, who supposedly loves mankind and the world he/she/it created.
Yet look around, our life quality is all due to where we were born. Some countries offer much better quality of life than others. I just believe if there is a God like I was taught he should do something about mankinds' problems. He should help mankind restore the Earth.
Maybe you are right though. Maybe God is something inside each and everyone of us. I just wish I had the answers. All I really know is I've come to have no faith in God. That makes me sad, because I see no real hope for the future.

my mother has been through a lot in her life, some bad before the truth, then following through during and after.
almost all of which she never shared with me until the past few months when i had to have my questions answered to get past the events i was stuck on.
i feel i am aging in years every month now, and was curious as to why.
That song "Judith" really describes in a nutshell how I feel about the JW religion and what it did to me.

I can honestly say I have no faith in God. What has he done lately for the world, oh let's see, how about absolutely nothing. If he is out there it's obvious to me that he doesn't care. And that's fine with me, I'm still going to live my life as a good person. I believe there is probably something out there, but I'm not sure just how good it really is. The God of the Bible was fairly cruel and injust, and definitely not a God I want to serve. I may be wrong, I really don't know. Faith is something that requires us to put trust in somone or something. How can I put trust in a God who allows millions upon millions of innocent people to die. The answer is I can't. It's obvious he wasn't there for the people who died in the tsunami, who died in the hollucaust, or any other disaster we can think of. If he wasn't there to save them, why would he be there for me? The answer in my mind is God doesn't care anymore. Does that make me a bad person because I believe that? I don't think so. I try and treat others how I want to be treated. But I have no faith in a God of good and rightousness. I believe it doesn't exist.

lately i have had this really strong desire to just say screw it this is who i am and write it here.
i told my husband who has never been a witness, but he is afraid that someone will try to df me.i have faded for a really long time.
No, you aren't crazy. I've been faded away for two years now, but every day I just want to tell them to F... Off and rot in hell. If it wasn't for the fact that my parents still go I probably would. I just don't feel like dealing with the problems my getting df'd would cause between us. I wish they would accept me for who I am, but I doubt things would be the same after getting DF'd. My ultimate dream is to walk in during a meeting and walk up on stage and say "I just want you all to know I quit, and I hate this religion". Then I could walk away happy. I definitely feel your sentiments on the subject.
