I'm sorry people haven't been very nice. Most people like myself have been hurt by the Jehovah's Witness organization. However, I welcome the chance to talk to new people. I hope you find the friend you are looking for.

i thought this site suppose to be kind to one another!
by sad and lonely ini just recently join this site because i was looking for a friendly place for witnesses to go and chat.it's ok!..but i seen a lot of witness bashing.there's another site i want to get into, that's also a site for the witnesses.but i don't know what po means.and that's the only way a true witness can get in.i think maybe there is where i want to be.because i don't need to be in a site for witnesses, where its suppose to be friendly.yet witness haters are coming in.i haven't heard any witness bashing anyone in this site..but yet its the other way around.

What happens after.......
by Survive1999 inso i'm interested for all you folks that have come out of the watch tower society, are any of you still religious, believe in god or the bible?
interestingly enough, i picked up a origianl copy of "studies in the scriptures" published 1915 with reprinted tracts in the back that talk about armegedon in 1914. big funny!
i keep it handy near the front door.

I have no faith. It died when I found the answers aren't really out there. I don't know if God really does exist, or is just a figment of the imagination used to preserve some sense of hope. The Bible is a book written by men, and uninspired. Far too many inconsisencies to be written by a All Powerful One. As for religion it can die a slow death for destroying the dreams of billions.
Oh, by the way welcome to the board.

Why do you taunt humanity by never giving us the answers we seek?

I understand your situation all too well. I had a relationship similar to yours, however I was the Jehovah's Witness who loved a girl who wasn't. The pressure the elders and family put on the relationship can be almost unbearable at times for the Witness, especially if they are active and believe in the religion.
Take hope. I battled back for the girl I loved even after the hard times almost killed our relationship. Love is a stronger force than religion. 4 1/2 years is a long time to just throw into the garbage. I wish he would be there for you in your time of need. He really should be if you are the most important thing to him.
Sometimes life can be cruel. Please don't take up that religion for yourself. It is evil, and destroyed many of my hopes and dreams. I would hate to see it do that to you. Hopefully he will see the light as I did, and leave that religion and focus on a wonderful relationship with the girl he loves.
If it doesn't work out, I am truly sorry. I wish you guys the best of luck. If you ever want to talk to somone who has been there you can send me a message anytime. I promise to respond. Here's to hoping love prevails.

OPEN LETTER TO JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES
by Outaservice inyou may not remember, but i know you very well.
i met you a long time ago when you came to my house with your smiling faces, your neat clothes, and your soft voices, and a bible tucked neatly under your arm.
you told me beautiful stories of a "paradise earth," and a "righteous new system" which would be established shortly.

Gaila, it's amazing how they ruin peoples' lives. It's very sad, and wrecks far too many families. I understand your pain and wish to sympathize with you.

License number I liked
by Mulan in.
there is a car i see occasionally, in our area, that has a license plate i would love to have.
it isn't a vanity plate, just a random number with letters.. it is "jwx 123" (not sure of the numbers) the first part i just love!

I used to have a liscence plate that read RAP-420. The state actually issued it!! The elders thought it was personalized, and told me I couldn't go out in service with my vehicle until I changed it. I left it.

How do you think you will handle your own death? . . . . . [language alert]
by nicolaou ini know it's not the lightest of topics but the current news coverage of the pope's final hours made me wonder if i'd face things as calmly as he is reported to be doing.
i don't have his faith, or any faith anymore, but i can see how for a true believer that would be a source of strength.. the thing is, a lot of us thought we'd never die.
do you really comprehend what a truly massive mind-fuck that is?
-
Dustin
I've simply come to realize that no one really knows what happens to us when we die. It's all just speculation. So I'll live my life to the fullest and try and be a good person. Maybe I will be rewarded in the end, and maybe not. Either way I'm glad to be here now, and I'm glad to be free of the lies the society filled my head with.

Everybody dies eventually. I guess it doesn't really affect me at all. But I'm sure the Governing Body will point to it as another sign of the end being near.
