Theres many men in the org that treat women pretty well. But there are plenty that doesn't, try not to lump all of the JW's into one pile. But the watchtower's teachings on women are so disgusting it's just sickning. Comparing women to cows and all that mess. Sheesh gets me mad. But blame the watchtower and the governing body, the Rank and File are misguided souls just like so many other people.

Thanks talesin. Ya when i look back on everything, I haven't really experienced an atrocity in many years. And even then it wasn't really an atrocity it was more like a down moment in my life. Just being around people that seem to love things going badly kind of puts you in that frame of mind also. Thanks talesin.

As we all know one of the main reasons why the org has so much control over its members is because of it's use of fear. Today a CO was doing the usual craptacular talk about "The scene of this world is changing". Of course talking about different atrocities people of the world (Meaning whoevers not a witness does all these things and are not better than them) do. Like a kid slitting an old man's throat because he wanted to understand how it felt to kill a man. And another one with a Janitor killing 8 kids and a few other teachers then killing himself (Don't trust the crediblity of this statement). I tried my best to refute and ignore their attacks but after a while they were winning. How can you cope with this minority of ignorant people that ruin other people's lives. It feels as if I'm being inconsiderate when I try not to cry out loud for these people. The witnesses use these bad things to depress their acceptance of the real world and highten their love for their fantasy. Works pretty darn good for a lot of em. However, after not believing in the truth or in God it's hard to cope with the idiotic people. It feels selfish to just brush them off. Can anybody relate? Advice on how to cope with it is highly apreciated.

I've felt this for a long time. It's not only that I fall towards feminism a lot of times, it's just the fact that almost every women i see walking down the street is just drop dead gorgeous. I'm not very discriminate with beauty, but i have to search and look for a lady that isn't attractive in her own unique way. In fact I'd say i haven't seen one in a few weeks probably. Then I look at my awkward bubbling sack of testosterone, bones and flesh. Just don't feel worthy, women kind of perpetuate this lack of worthiness from their lack of DOING ME!!

It's just like 1984. They can choose to not follow big brother but when your whole life is geared and influenced with emotional and mental force it's pretty hard not to do the same exact thing everybody else does. Everybody has a choice, just that some groups make the choices for em.

The Watchtower always helped me to pinpoint the absurdity of the scriptures. Kind of thank it for that in a way. The good or bad are twisted to control people.

Michael Jackson stuff
by Mulan inwhile cleaning cupboards today, i had court tv on in the other room, listening to the commentary about the mj trial.. i was pretty surprised when they started talking about his going back to jehovah's witnesses and that he had taken his children to a kingdom hall in solvang (near where he lives) around easter time.
so it was for the memorial.
they said that since then, he has been attending pretty regularly with his kids, but that because he is disfellowshipped (and they had this information correct, saying he wrote a letter disassociating himself many years ago, but that he is technically disfellowshipped) no one will talk to him.. so, is he trying to make a comeback?

I was born in the truth and I can honestly say I only truely believed in it for a good 2 weeks out of my life. I just knew it was crap ever since they told me my best friend in the whole world that wasn't a witness was going to die at armeggedon. Just couldn't accept it. Only times i truly believed it was when i found this site and i thought the devil was after me so i went into super JW mode. Then visited the site again and realised that you guys can explain a lot more than the JW's. That doesn't mean the social scaring from the JW lifestyle hasn't hit me hard though. Maybe worse since i never talked to JWs or non jws except for few occasions.
