No JWs in sight....what happened to them?

i have been living in my new house since november.

i have been home every weekend, saturday and sunday mornings.

i live in a big city, in a densely housed area.. there has not been a single jw door-knocker this entire time!!!!

I have wondered where they all are... I moved to Dallas in 1999...never had one witness at my door...I worked with one but she NEVER witnessed to any of us (except to state why she would not join in the Christmas party).

I moved back home in 2003. I went on the standart swedish maternity leave of 480 paid days off. I have been home almost EVERY day the last year and a half....no one has knocked... No magazines or tracts left to be thrown away.... It is quite nice!

if you had to write down just a few sentances about why you left the truth, what would you say?.......

wholeheartedly embraced it for a few years after love bombing etc then saw widespread hypocrisy.

At 17 I knew I wanted things "the truth" couldn't give.....education, true friends, unconditional love, thursday nights off to play fotboll ...I stayed out because I would never put my children through the hell of being raised a JW.

Ahhh, first I stopped wearing dresses. Realizing this was foolish, instead I wore dresses that were much shorter in length. Next came the little Nalle Pooh tattoo on my ankle. Last...the tongue piercing.

If it was legal, would you have more then one spouse?

often what we accept in society, is based on how and where we were raised.

for example, in some countries it is okay to have more then one spouse and arranged marriages are how you marry.

often we take these examples, and others that happen elsewhere, and label them as just wrong.

Mmmm? Have a wife....oh yeah! Someone else to cook, clean, run the kids to fotbol, appointments, dishes, laundry......oh yes, can I please have one!!!!!

Another husband....naaa too much to clean up after the one I have now....

i recieve many pms, emails, and more recently, many thread replies which ask me a simple question.. why are you disassociating yourself?

why not just fade?.

well, here's why.. my mother, and her mother, are in the "truth".

Wow. With every post from you, I become more impressed with the level of maturity you have attained for only being 17+. You really know your self, and what you want. Sounds like you have thought this through completely. I went the DA route myself. I have never regretted doing so. (Losing my mother and several family members in the process) But I feel like it was the right thing to do. I don't care for hypocrisy, and could not live a lie any longer. Best of luck.
