Mine included a murderous skeleton who drove one of those hippy VW vans. To this day, I still dislike hippies, they're like my version of clowns, only smellier.

Do you know what your last name means and where it comes from...?
by Justahuman24 ini have always been interested in what last names mean and where they come from and if someone famous in the past is related to us because of the same last name.
my last name comes from greek but my family is not greek.
it dates back to the year 700ce and it was around the time in europe when people were starting to get last names - i'm talking about the general people not monarchs.

According to Fe203Girl's site, another one, Lait, is a regional name from East Anglia.

My partilinear name means "Son of a Fair Warrior," it's an Irish/Scottish name. My Father was adopted so the actual patrilinear name is the Anglo-Scandinavian Osborne, which is Old Norse for "God Bear." I suppose that means I'm a viking and my ancestors raped and pillaged an area of England and though, "hey, this is a nice place, I think I'll stay here." Argghh. Other familey names include: -an Irish name which derives from the Gaelic Ó Maoildeirg (Maol=chief, derrig=red). -Tuningley, a name which derives from the village of Finningley in/near Doncaster, York. -Durham, based on County Durham -Herd, a name which refers to a herder of animals. While an English name, I'm was just told this was originally German. Surprise to me. I guess I can make sour kraut jokes now like on Red Dwarf. -Goodwin, old English for "friend of god" -Wright, old English for carpenter -Smith, from the English blacksmith -Peel, another English name of unknown origin That's all I know of.

The consensus provided to us by environmentalists is completely antithetical to logcial and disinterested scientific enquiry.

"There is a very strange relationship between blacks and most africans" | Not really strange when you consider that African is neither a culturally nor ethnically monolithic place. Most Ethiopians use a Semitic language and are, on the whole, genetically distinct from West Africans. Ethiopians legends say that the Ethiopian royal family is descended from Queen Sheba and King Solomon. Queen Sheba being the Queen of Ethiopia.

=== Worlds first fully operational Quantum Computer to be unveiled. ===
by Elsewhere inall of the computer geeks who just read that probably just shat a brick.
granted, the device has not yet undergone pier review, so it is not 100% official yet.
however, if this thing is for real, you are witnessing one of the greatest moments in all of human history.. to give you an idea what what a quantum computer can do... the encryption that everyone uses works because it scrambles information using extremely complex calculations.

Apparently, the demonstration is going to be done far away from where the actual computer is. I can imagine some pre-rendering switcheroo al a Sony at E3.

I would think the Vancouver one is going to be in Chilliwack again, which is horribly far away for anyone actually living in the Greater Vancouver area, except for Surrey, but it's still a 1 hour drive assuming no traffic! I assume the PNE didn't let them back because they weren't paying for cleaning and sought the cheap route by getting slave labour to do it. The fact they didn't allow concessions either probably didn't help.
