The beach look is starting to go out of fashion (at least in my locale), but probably has a year left in it. You should, though, be able to wear something like that only only on summer days and never in the fall or winter, even if it is sunny outside. Springtime is stretching it. Do not wear any hats in fall, winter, or spring.

are you just trying to be difficult, classy? (a bit of a contrarian? ) so, you do or don't disagree with hawk's post? if you do take exception to the post, why not share what specifically you disagree with rather than this talk of pyramids?
I just don't like Darwinism. EVERYTHING takes millions of years. Then people take this Darwinist approach to everything else including geology: some structures are formed over millions of years, while others can form quite rapidly, not everything changing slowly over millions of years. Likewise, this can be applied to evolution. While some evolutionary processes take thousands of years, others probably happen rapidly (which is where we get the gaps in the evolutionary ladder). Of course, it's hard to say by what mechanism those jumps are done by.

Similar structures do not necessitate one to believe that one evolved into another: that is simply illogical. For example, we see pyramids with the Aztecs and Egyptians because it is the easiest, large structure that man could make with the technology available at that time. The similar structures do no mean that one copied the other or that the aliens did it.
That beings said, I'm not so much in favour with Darwinist evolution, but that doesn't mean I reject evolution as a whole.

TWO HOURS?
by Blueblades ina priest said: "when you add up all the things that jesus spoke about in the gospels it comes to two hours".
however he said," it was his deeds that counted more than his words".
did you ever hear that before!

SOMEBODY please give me just one clear example of DATA contained in Jesus words that would be scientifically unknown in his day and time, yet, proved now.
Your demand is impossible since the the books of the Bible aren't books of science.

Who are you now?
by tsunami_rid3r inall of us have been tit-sucking jehovahs witnesses at one point in our lives, and we have been deceptively forced to give up our very own individuality to become one group united under, supposedly, god's only earthly organization.
just maybe, maybe throughout your much hated dull life, as a brainless witness, you weren't allowed to experience the necessities of life, such as satan's blaring rock and roll that you oh so always wanted to listen to, dressing up in those flaming hot name brand clothes lines, being part of a sports team, knowing what true bonding friendship and competition really meant, or chosing those friends you know would never turn you in for having that nightly drink at the club.
now that we know the real truth, and the damage has been done, what have you done to repair it?

Why Is Love Among Jehovah's Witnesses Now Only Third Rate?
by metatron inyears ago, in the watchtower's truth book, the chapter called "how to identify the true .
religion" offered a set of reasons for thinking that jw's had the "truth".. the very first "identifying mark " of "true religion" was stated as having "love among.
themselves" as jesus plainly said in john 13: 35 : "by this all will know that you are my.

There is less love because there is no more food at the assemblies. Think about it, most religions provide food one way or another, in a communion service, in an after service meal, or some other kind of ritual eating. It's as if God, represented through an organization, was giving something basically necessary for his people.
But the JWs don't appeal to that most basic need in people and so the love is no longer there.

peer review stops ignorance. ; if the catholic church had a peer review process, like science, there would be no catholic church!
Well, I think all those theologians who debated for the past 2000 years would argue about no peer review process. Like science, the correct side always comes out on top. (And the correct side is always the most logical).
the catholic church got to do whatever they wanted, because they had god on their side.
Well, they have to answer to God. I'm sure there are many priests, bishops, and popes in hell. We could go on forever about the inquisition, but the inquisition persecuted not only 'heretics' but also canonized saints of the Church. People abused their power and that always happens. Remember this: the inquisition only had as much power as the civil authorities allowed it. There were inquisitions in many countries (Italy included), but only the Spanish one was so severe due to the influence of the civil government in setting penalties.
i'm sorry if i offended you regarding the church
Don't worry, perhaps we should have a pankrator (or whatever Terry called it) on this.

How much science we take on "faith"
by Big Dog inno real point here, just a funny thought popped in my head as i was reading yet another thread where people were being hammered with scientific facts and theories and i was nodding my head agreeing with the rational fact based explination when a thought occured to me: i take quite a bit of science on "faith".. what i mean is this, when i am reading the explination of particle physics, quantum mechanics, or molecular biology i have to take it on faith as i can't do the mathematical proofs and so on to verify what i am being told and i assume that is the case with most of us non-rocket scientists, and probably even many in the fields of science and technology.
i like science, i enjoy reading discovery magazine and trying to keep up on the latest techno advancements, but i realized how much of it i take on "faith" as i have no way to verify or disprove what i am being told by a scientist.
i recall einstein saying once that something like 6 people in the world truly understood the implications of his work.. so if you want to argue "faith", i'd say that many that believe in science have just as much faith as those that believe in religion.
