  how many of you out there get a regular guilt trip from your parents or anyone for that matter?

  i am beginning to think my mom is reigning queen!.

  Hey all!

  I've been through this sooo many times. My mother is either not convinced that I am *really* happy, or she thinks that my happiness has to do with "inmorality" and being a part of satan's wicked old system instead of the big J's organization.......and the whole shpiel about the wide and confortable road vs. the long and difficult road....how this "system" can't bring true happiness.....and then the "mother hen".....blah blah blah [}

  Are Demons still roaming the bedrooms at Bethel?

  a couple decades ago a bro.

  tells me an experience that he says i must keep top secret.. one of his roomates (he lived in a 4 man bedroom) at nite while in bed would see this green form in the likeness of a man in the room.

  if my memory serves me right, another roomate also saw it, some days later.. so my friend asks all the roomates if any received anything religious from anyone.the 1st guy to report these demons remembered he recently had received a letter with some religious pictures.

  Maybe this all has something to do with the huge Federal aid funds flowing into NYC because of 9/11? Perhaps the WTS wants a piece, and had to be creative in terms of getting it?

  I have been seeing commercials on late night Spanish TV (Univision) and they kind of look like the latter-day saints commercials, but they are in fact from the JWs. Im not aware if there are English commercials, but there must be if others here have seen them.

  when i was replying to nicolas' question in another thread, i used the following scripture to show why jws are always so tired:"the scribes and the pharisees have seated themselves in the seat of moses.

  therefore all the things they tell you, do and observe, but do not do according to their deeds, for they say but do not perform.

  hehehehe.
  This reminded me of those huge, suitcase like bags that the elders and COs would take to the assemblies. I remember the vendors out around Yankee stadium selling those plastic magazine and book covers--about 25 cents each. My bag? PUH! I never carried one, only a little purse, made sure I had only a little bit of money (if I had more than $5 on me my dad would make me donate it) my bible and maybe a songbook. My dad would make us study for hours and hours the Sunday WT article, but I would often not, so I always claimed that I gave the magazine away to a classmate at school. That would get me off the hook.

  The reason she consulted me was because I am an RN. She and her husband are very active at bethel. Sometimes witnesses do flip flop like that, especially when appearances count more than anything else, as in her case.

  remember this scripture in matthew:.

  [28] come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and i will give you rest.. [29] take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for i am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.. [30] for my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.. do you think this refers to labor in terms of heavy work in order to support one's self and family?.

And also to those heavily laden with the demands of a present-day organized religion, heavy with the burdens of the modern-day pharisees of the WTBTS - who boldly go where men have been for millenia, right back to the practice of the Mosaic law (claiming its principles still apply)?

  I think this is what Jesus really meant, IMO.
  I think this scripture goes hand in hand with another scripture, "beware of false prophets,"etc. The WTS isa false prophet and the anti-christ.
