  a test of friendship

  friends will use friends for their certain goals, but there are some out there who are true friends.

  now this may seem "stalinish" but i'm just wondering if one of my friends is using me for their one goal.

  here is my test: one day out of the blue, call them up and ask them if they want to see a movie or something that involves hanging out with me, nothing to do with hanging out with their bf/gf or other friends.

  tsunami_rid3r-you really are amusing in a cute way....Dont test your friends like that. My best gal friend goes everywhere without me, but if I am hurt, in need, or badmouthed, she will go to the mats for me no questions asked. She is a freaking pit bull over me. The kewl thing about true friends is that you dont have to worry when you see them, for when they do get together with you it is like you never missed a step. Kind of like love.

  So what really is the matter....are you feeling a bit lonely and blue tonight?

  I am not sure how to take you...see I am bi racial, but I feel your pain and I bet it is more at the man than at the color. I think that what he did was absolutely horrible...as you put it and well maybe if you give us an introduction we all would gladly welcome you. In fact many of us, bi-racial or not have walked in your shoes. OVER and Over. So the hug is sincere and in fact I feel the need to give another. (((((horrible life)))))

  Friend's Daughter Diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes... Post Your Support

  "k" was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes today.

  her mother took her into the hospital this morning, where the diagnosis was made.

  she will have to have shots of insulin every day for the rest of her life..

  FMz...Send her name and I will walk in her honor when we do the huge diabetes walk in Dallas this November. I will finally have a name to wear. Not that that is such a good thing, but it will show support. Last year I was about taken out of the wwalk by an 8 year old girl who has diabetes and ran circles around me. She was so very cute. This girl and her mom raised about 2 thousand themselves.

  Well if you did not read my unfinished bio...you might not know that I had the biggest afro. I still do and it toments me every morning noon and night. I wish I could fit it into my feeling pretty, but it just wont have it. So as a child one of the many names I was given was Sparkplug. I was hyper and had that hair like I had been sucking on a sparkplug, or jolted with a spark of energy, electricity...Just a big hair life.

  When Someone does something so special and they don't have a clue....

  it makes me cry.. for instance.

  i was coming back from a funeral this weekend.

  it was a long 10 hour drive and having had such a cruddy two weeks and especially day before prior, it was quite a shock when my travel companion pulled over in miama ok of all places and insisted we see loretta lynn.

  FUN IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM

  well...today was a monday from hell...had lots of running around to do.

  i finally got our van registered (have been driving it for over a year unregistered and uninspected...amazing you can get away with that down here.

  i know people that have been arrested up north for that haah).

  E2, Made me think of the time we were in the docs office, and it was like the world went mad. My son, then 4 years old, decided to pretend to take my daughters eye...she was 2.. and pretend to eat it. I had to beg my child to please spit out his sisters eye. You can imagine, "Spit it out, come on son, spit out your sisters eye. I am serious, spit...spit it out...."

  Then at the same time this other kid in the room had a purse handle curled around a siblings head, and the mom was yelling in her most severe twang that the child had best knock it off before he pulled the others head off, "Then he'de be sorry!"

  ps..Decki of the had to get a million cooked peas removed from my nose when I was a kid I had impacted them so far up there. NICE HUH?

  misspeaches- I like what your neighbor did. I have crazy Gypsies from Romania as neighbors and they really don't do much nice. But the other day instead of driving thier dooly thru my yard, they actually asked. I liked that too.

  Your boyfriend sounds really attentive. That is wonderful

  prophecor- I have a friend who suffers from this and it is so painful to watch. While at the funeral, I got stuck with the floor and had to try to breath thru a clogged nose from all the old carpet. I can not imagine having to deal with that each night. That one night let me in on what apnea does and I really think your neighbor did a great thing. Powerful stuff, I'm saying!

  what is is about the darkness that brings out those heightened emotions that you've been storing up for a rainy day?

  It happens to the best of us. I think if you lost your ability to cry completely be it for bad or good reasons, that it would really be sad. Tears come out for a purpose. Just to cleanse our house so to speak. If we let ourselves cry once over any one hurt, well that would be stupid. Cry it out, pick it up and keep going. Venting is amazing too. Nothing in excess on either line, and do not bottle it up either. One day at a time and we all reach toward love. We all hurt over the loss of loved ones. It is ok. you seem to have a handle on it. I send big huggs your way!

  Frog- Now your talkin'

  I love it when someone lets me in on the freeway, or does not cuss me when I take too long because I misplaced my bank card again.

  And yep it does get harder and harder to cry, but then other times it is so easy.

  A girlfriend of mine brought a Happy Fathers Day cake to my home the other day. Three single moms and one remembered how hard it is being mom and dad....That choked me up too. Added pounds to me bumm but really sweet.
