Was Anyone Reinstated But Felt Marked?
by love2Bworldly injust wondering if any of you experienced what i did years ago when i was reinstated.
although people were excited about my reinstatement and said things like "welcome home", i could tell when i would see people i used to be close to--that they still treated me differently, almost like i had a disease or something.
maybe it's because i was married to a non-jw and had a baby by then?.

Did you Ever Dream About Armageddon?
by Englishman injust the once.. i was 19 years old.
i was stll fairly pure except for the odd escapade that involved just a touch of finger-pie.
so there was some semblance of guilt hanging over my head.

In my dreams it was always about being in a concentration camp during the great tribulation or being separated from my family when Armegeddon broke out or...... the "clean up" after Armegeddon was one I had constantly....
Same here but with a twist...all the bodies are gone and all the cool houses and malls are left and I get to pick a home and go shopping!!

I am scared of my future marriage
by jwbot ini am watching oprah (right now actually) and the topic hits close to home.
good timing actually, because yesterday i was thinking of talking with my fiance, mike about this very thing.
you see, mike really loves kids, and we plan to have them eventually, its a very important part in our relationship (to him, mostly).

Love does not divide...It is a multiply thing. Each person gets their own kind of love and each love is special. There is no way to descrbe the love for a child as being the same as the love for a spouse. Each is unique and cannot be filled by the other. Having kids though is something I would wait to do because once you have them, you cannot put that thing back where it came from. I would deffinitely say if you have a choice, wait for 5 or more years and build the love you have with your spouse so that it is strong to face the challenges of children.
IMO as a parent that if you mix families always expect you will get a different love than the ex had and a different love than the new spouse has with the children from that family. This is a good thing. Because you don't need a parent and there is a reason an ex is an ex...see?
The best you can do is always put ALL of the children first and make sure that you do not neglect your spouse. The same as you would earn the respect and love of a spouse with no children.......well it is the same as you would have to do if they have children. The kids and the spose appreciate you more if you don't try to take anyones place. Make your own spot.

Would you change your past if you could?
by John Doe ini used to live with many regrets, thinking that i'd screwed up.
recently, i've been thinking that regretting past actions is not constructive.
sure, we should base our current actions by assessing the results of our former actions, but regretting decisions we've made is, in effect, yearning to change the person we are now or rejecting ourselves.
