ELDER LEAVES WIFE....DEMANDS TO BE DF'D...

a prominent elder in a local congregation came home to his wife and told her "i love you, but i'm not in love with you".

then wrote a letter to the congregation elders asking to be disfellowshipped.

i dont know the people your talking about but its not fair to judge him with out knowing the truth. for instance i know a bro and sister who are getting devorced and the woman was a horrible wife and a lousy mother. she would curse out the husband and hit the kids out of anger and he left to protect the kids. he felt that if he had them away from her for three of four days then that was three or four days of peace for them and a chance for her to get throught her problems with them. in the end he found someone else and got disf but the elders allowed her to go and spread lies about him and only pretended to try and stop her from doing that.

she had started lieing about him the moment he left and the elders did nothing about the abuse. the few who know the truth about what really happend in that house know where to place the blame for everything but the ones who didnt blamed the husband for it all. he was in all honesty the victum who just wanted to try and make things safer for his children

he tried everything prior to that to fix the marrige but the sister had a mental problem

so i dont feel its right to judge thuis man or others if you really dont know what really happend. like all things in the wtbs not all things are what they seem.

but you have to admit that some are nice caring people.

my wife missed the meeting to night due to flu and a sister who has far more health problems than us phoned to ask after her.

she even asked after me, brother 'long time no see'!

if you miss a few meetings due to illness or whatever and the nice sister calls is she calling to be nice or is she calling to get you back to the meetings. is she calling because the elders assigned her to do that.

the simple fact is this conditional love is not showing true love and conditional freiendship is not real friendship.

yes i will say that there are ones inside who have done nice things but thier love and friendship is extreamly conditional and there for fake.

yea but who knows if these numbers are even correct they could be even worse. i had an elder tell me once that even thought i was disf my devotion to jehovah was still intact. that being the case whats to stop them from adding all of us in too saying once a dub always a dub. who knows we may already be in those numbers.

Stumbled Across the Forum

i stumbled across this forum today as i was looking for information online as it relates to johnny carson and the whole john denver thing that was spread around years ago.

it's no surprise that i cant find a single thing on it on the web as i always thought it was an urban legend.

just angers me that things like that spread around and so many people just accept it as truth because a brother or sister told it to them.

what freedom are you thankful for tonight and what are you doing with it?.

i remember a whole lotta friday nights spent at the hall having the "same old same old" drilled into my skull, listening for something they could never say, waiting for something that would never come, wondering where the spirit of life and light and love was that i so longed to tap into... or sometimes just wishing i could be out walking under the stars or be home watching a crappy tv show.

so tonight i am thankful i am free to do with my friday nights (and all my days and nights) what i will, free of guilt and anxiety and spiritual starvation, and i am here enjoying good company while sporadically playing hide and seek with my young daughter who would be thankful that she is not required to sit down and shut up for long, meaningless blocks of time if she had ever been exposed to it, and i'm thankful she hasn't.. what about you?

Helpppppppppppppp

weve been fading now for 9 months.. can anybody tell me what book jws are studing 1 and 2nd week of march????.

this is going to take some monovering but, weve got visitors and they want to go to a meeting mid week.

sso we are going to take them to a cong outside our territory, and we need to visit it for a couple of weeks so they think its ours.

i would most definatly recomend telling the truth but i know sometimes thats to risky because you have to much to lose like family members hating you and such.

but better to have then be mad at you for that then that and lying to them about it.

if you dont want to lie to them then have an emergancy trip you had to go on and cancel the visit maily because you sound like this is really stressing you out and i am picturing a chevy chase movie of sorts happening like national lampoons visits from the c\o week

Sad Today

it's has been a hard few months for me.

i am just so sad i don't know where to begin.

i feel so lost in this world and i have lost all my friends and i feel so alone.

i too am sorry to hear of all the things you are going throught. hang in there. you have left an occult and are expeiriencing normal sadness (normal sadness or evan depression that comes from isolation that most if not all normal mothers go throught) but it is mixed with greif and pain (from shunning or being made to feel evil or naughty) that the occult is counting on to bring you back in to a so called comfort zone. if you feel it is wrong to go back then completly let go. thats realy the first step.

for so long you have been told that it is wrong to assciate with worldy people and in some ways we create these mental walls around us and make then strong enoungh that evan after we leave we have trouble making new friends and putting these into our lives. please for your own good make new friends who will be there for you when you need them and you can be there when they need you. this is the very foundation of friendship.

do you work or are you a stay at home mom. if not hire a day care and get a job that requires you to meet a lot of people evan if you make just enought to cover the cost of the day care who cares for a while you need interaction with other people. and above all else remember you have friends here as well who all have gone throught something very simular and they know how it feels.

and yes i would recomend a theripist. i dont know your situation ie you hubby a witness and such but perhaps evan some family counciling and i would evev more so very strongly recommend it if he too left the org.

what ever you choose to do and what ever things happen you are always welcomed here and you can always count on us to be ther for you too.

i have been dfed/daed for nearly 7 years now.

long story.

anyway my mom has shunned me ever since.

d/f polocies are there for one reason and one reason only to bring you back at all cost. the emotions that you feel are what they (the wbs) want you to feel and they will use your mother and children against you. i know i have been there. your mother is shuning you because they told her (not in so many words) it is the only way to get you back. now your children pay the price and the wbs is counting on our human make up to feel huge amounts of guilt. dont let them do this to you or your children tell them the truth about the wbs as best as they can understand and find some counciling or even a family theripist who can help you and your children deal with the abuse the wbs gives out on a dailey basis.

also when your children come to understand what the wbs is all about they will in the end tell your mom to stop her preaching but in the mean time tell your mom that she is not to preach to your children.

i am really sorry that everyone on this web site has had to lose or give up or suffer so much and i hope one day the wbs is brought to justice in the mean time hang in there.

i hope you find as much strenght and insight from this board as i have. i have lived a very hard life and had to survive a lot of things not associated with the borg but looking back on everything i went throught with in the past year leaving the borg has been the hardest thing i ever had to do and im still not completly free yet but i hope with in the next four weeks or so i will be done with the game
