Hmmm, maybe I'm a dress disaster as well then because I also wear socks and sneakers. I wear the short, to the ankle kind though. I like to be comfortable more than "look good" kinda gal. I have to admit though, my friends tell me all the time I need to lay off the Jeans/t-shirt stuff.

Yeah, same here. Many times I'll read a thread and start replying to it only to delete it later figuring someone else will answer. Some days I just like to read but don't feel in the mood to reply...a bit of laziness comes out.

Welcome summer....I'm sorry you had to experience a nasty troll so soon after you joined us. For the most part, this forum is a wonderful way to get questions answered and get support.
To be honest, I haven't seen many trolls until lately. Soon they'll get tired from being deleted over and over and just go away.

my ex and i did for several years in our new home.
i was excited at first because that meant we were "good" dubs.
after about 6 months someone stuck their finger in our candle we had burning in the bathroom and splashed wax all over our new bathroom wall.
put a note above the toilet paper roll that said "please flush and wash your hands", dad was not happy!

They'd change meeting for field service times, add days, meet back after lunch, just like it was a kh. I can't remember when or why we stopped or it was moved.
Oh yeah, I forgot about field service. Yuck. Ours was moved because *I* seemed to miss a lot of Tuesday meetings...lol. I was actually happy when it was moved.
As an adult I don't think I was a good enough example in the congregation to get the "privilege".....
Don't feel too bad MC...I think we weren't good enough examples either. I think it was because we seemed to be popular because we didn't have children for a long. After our kids came into the picture then is when we started not being as popular. Our son was very VERY little when we had the book study.

It seems like it depends on the state and how well the child has developed in their maturity state.
I think I will personally call to make sure it's not a law here. Other than that, my son is very mature and can be trusted so I don't worry so much. Again, I won't leave him with his sister right now. Besides, from reading it seems to be that he'd have to be at least 15 yrs old before he can do that anyway.

Ok, here's what I've found so far.
It seems to be saying that a parent should decide on what they know of their children's maturity and that the "age" limit is 8 years old. I'm gonna do more research but this is a start.

I'm not sure...I have to look into that. I know that a few of my friends got mad at me for letting my son sit in the front seat. He's about 70lbs and hits the right age for the height of the "law" for kids riding in the front seat. I went to several police stations and asked them if (when air bag is off) if he's ok sitting in the front. All 4 stations said the same thing that he's ok even with the air bag on.
Some people think it's illegal for him to sit in front but I found out that it's not and he's big enough to be just as safe as an adult so I let him sit in front.

Brand new carpetting too and one sister came in with muddy shoes and walked around and after a few min. said, "Oh, did I do that? Sorry!"
Yeah, that happened to with our new carpet. I made the mistake of getting light carpet as well. The stain never did come out.
Always heard horror stories similar to your experience and never wanted the committment.
NY, I don't think I'd ever volunteer my house again if I ever get a new house in the future because of all the horror situation. When a house is freshly built or you've put time into remodeling it only to have people screw it up, it's not worth it.
I don't have my house now but I plan on getting my own cute little cottage type house and it will be mine and not for sharing...lol
