Bizarre JW stories of enduring hardship

i remember hearing of a faithful older brother who was attacked by vicious dogs while in service.

even though his clothes were shredded and he was bleeding he continued walking door to door to finish his assigned territory for that day.

Confession------I remember my mother telling me that story, too. I wonder if it was from a publication or the platform--maybe a yearbook. Those stories always scared the crap out of me! Supposedly, they did horrible things to the women's private parts, too.

my mom's got this pioneer sister friend who stays at our house every weekend (she stays in some remote town that's far away from the hall) and i go into my bathroom cabinet this morning and she used up half the bottle of daily oil control cream for my face i had in there.

i mean ladies, you already know how expensive those things are!

and i would always just use a pint size amount so the bottle was filled to capacity.

Seriously--just remove your things from the cabinet and leave it at that--she will get the point!

Couldn't you just consider that little bit of lotion a gift to her? ; Maybe she can't afford to buy it and couldn't resist the temptation to try it but was too embarrassed to ask.

She said she used half the bottle! Does she have a giant face?! If you take something without being offered or asking first, isn't that cobsidered stealing? That's what I always heard at the meetings and from my parents. So, if a pioneer is stealing--what does that say!

After thinking about this, I recall a pioneer couple who expected free groceries--even though her husband had a skill and could have gotton a job........

Also, I know a sis who cuts hair--she is licensed--it's not just a hobby--there was a pioneer who expected free haircuts, a snack while she was getting her hair cut, and she also expected free hair care products! What nerve!

If you could get Desitin (baby rash cream) in the bottle, that would be hilarious! It smells like fish! Either that or just leave a tube of it in the cabinet since she is a butt-head!
