  i cannot imagine their real life suffering, but, i know more than i did and more than i ever wanted to know...!

  the story about this was posted here earlier when it all started in fresno, ca.

  the community rallied behind this jw family, and one church even gathered enough donations from it's members that they paid off her $25,000 mortgage.. this was in the paper this morning.

  she and her family were at the church that donated the money for her mortgage to watch the show.

  I watched the episode and if they are witnesses, they are not strong ones. The son had long hair and they were using the phrase "Oh My God" as they walked thru their new home--no-nos if you are in the truth!

  some witnesses are making sure they're ready for the great day.

  i've heard certain family members are getting supplies ready including 5 gallons of water, cans of food that can be opened without a can opener, and other "survival" stuff.

  they have figured that since the awake (i think) reported how the "friends" got ready for hurricane katrina, they too must be ready for survival when the storm of armageddon rains down.. what will they think of next?.

  some witnesses are making sure they're ready for the great day.

  Getting in touch with a DF'd former acquintance....puzzled at how to respond

  i was wandering around facebook and spotted someone from my last congregation before i 'faded'.

  i knew that she had had some problems and was at a time df'd.

  i didn't know if she would respond to a message from me (as some other former "friends" wouldn't) or not.

  It's interesting to me how people pick and choose which rules to follow. Oh, they can quit meetings and have a worldly boyfriend and worldly friends--sleep around--smoke or whatever.

  BUT--if you start questioning the society--OMG you are so evil and unforgivable.

  Toe Rings

  i remember when toe rings were considered a big no no when i was a younger adult.

  a couple of us ventured out and got them anyway.

  we were considered a little weak - tho the ring never actually affected us in anyway.
