christian conscience

i have a question i'd like to ask long time witnesses and hopefully get serious answers ... if there is one.. can anyone tell me any area of life that active witnesses are totally free to use their own christian conscience on a matter?.

(for example, one that has not been commented on by wt articals).

i knew it was going to be a bizzare one just reading it, but the comments at the meeting took it even further.

i can't post all the crazy ones, but in summary what they were saying was:.

How many of you followed the WTS direction on education years ago and have been screwed by it?

i'm really interested in this question because i've heard for years that if you forgo further education and go pioneering, when you have a family down the track you will get a good job because jehovah will provide for you because you pioneered.

as long as i was a kool-aid drinker, even then, i thought, "how does pioneering pay your bills?

surely education should come first.

I have to do hard physical labor because my parents believed (Mom's words) "We thought the end would be here before you became an adult."

I was strongly discouraged from attending university.

My sister is 14 years younger than me and never believed that BS.

She has a Master's and is VP of one of the largest financial institutions in the world.

I constantly tell her how proud I am that she is successful.

BTW, her only child also knows it is BS and is currently working on her Master's.

The cult cycle has been broken by our generation.

Australia formally charges former JW elder

a former jehovah's witness elder who apologised to his alleged victim on facebook has been charged with two counts of indecent assault.

richard hill will appear in the heidelberg magistrate's court on march 1 over allegations that he sexually assaulted a six-year-old girl in 1981.. the victim, now 38, told fairfax media that mr hill did everything except penetrate her - ''he tried, but couldn't manage''.. she said she ''did not realise the gravity'' of what had happened until she was about 14.. at that point she told her mother, who could not act because of a jehovah's witness rule that allegations of sexual abuse would only be acted on if two elders witnessed it, she said.. much later, the victim confronted mr hill on facebook.

The Victorian inquiry into how churches handled complaints of child sex abuse heard from two former Jehovah's Witnesses on Monday, who say they have been ostracised by the church.

Fairfax Media reported on Monday that the child was one of four who clubbed together their pocket money to raise the $69.70 needed to launch a prosecution against the church over its alleged refusal to get working-with-children checks.

Has anyone heard anything about Elders being a separate entity and WTS not helping them in court cases legally?

i just heard a rumor and trying to verify it.

a current jw just told us that the elder's are now a separate entity and that when brought into court hearings and they try to use the 'clergy confidentiality clause' that the wtbt$ backs off and says the elders are their own separate entity.. anyone heard anything like this?.
