Old news.
Read the threads and you'll find out about the NEW REVISED Gray bible with a new updated rendering of John 17:3.
hello, .
will anyone be posting live updates via twitter or on jwn during the agm?
cheers, .
Folks,
It's OFFISHUL
A NEW REVISED version of the New World Translation and everyone in attendance GETS A COPY.
The January 2014 Watchtower and AWAKE! will QUOTE the NEW REVISED bible.
You can begin using it as soon as you eagerly rip off the plastic cover it is in.
MAKE SURE THAT YOU PROUDLY DISPLAY IT AT THE NEXT REGULAR MEETING SO EVERYONE WILL KNOW YOU ARE SUCH A SPIRITUAL SERVANT OF JEHOVAH THE FAITHFUL SLAVE.
my hubby just informed me that he wants to attend the "big" meeting saturday instead of celebrating our anniversary.
seems i was right when i accused him that the cult means more to him than i do.
asshole.
Kari, if he comes through on going to Gatlinburg and you want to see something unusual then take the Gatlinburg Parkway between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge one afternoon and turn left beside the Gatlinburg Welcome Center onto Banner Drive. Bear left onto Wiley Oakley Drive and follow it up the mountain.
A female bear sow with 5 cubs (an unusually high number of cubs in one litter) has been foraging for food in the vicinity of 1009 Wiley Oakley Drive for the last month. If you see them, stay in the car and don't get too close.
I have pictures of her with 4 of the 5 cubs taken from the back porch. The 5th cub was camera shy and ran away when he saw my niece taking pictures of his momma and siblings
Also, all of the roads through the National Park with the exception of U.S. 441 between Gatlinburg and Cherokee, N.C. are closed but U.S. 441 has some pulloffs with great vistas, especially around Newfound Gap. I heard that the road to Clingman's Dome just south of Newfound Gap is still open but I haven't personally verified that to be factual.
The elk are in rut up until the end of the month or the first week or two of November and if you go to Cherokee there are a couple of open fields near the Ocanaluftee Visitor Center on U.S. 441 where you can see them early in the morning and also between 3 and 7 P.M. I haven't been down there yet this year because I plan to combine 2 trips into 1 and go into the Cataloochee Valley at the same time to photograph them there but the valley is in the National Park and the road is closed. The valley has the largest herd but there is a modest sized herd near near the Ocanaluftee Visitor Center.
If you go and hear the sound of a trumpet don't worry it ain't Jesus, it's a mature bull elk warning all the young bulls to back off.
we will be putting our beloved pet of 13 years to rest soon.
is there a wt policy, written or unwritten on what could be done with the ashes after cremation?
i assume it's basically the same for pets as with humans but i'm not real clear on what that is.
Very few JW's in this area have pets because a pet takes up too much time that could be better utilized in hawking Watchtower comic books.
a group of seniors from a baptist church were on their way back from gatlinburg va. where they had preached to the locals.
their bus blew a tire and veered into traffic catching fire in the accident.
8 people died and 14 others were injured.. how do people of faith come to terms with those considered faithful meeting such a tragic end and causing the deaths and injury of others.. ap news service.
Everyone is going to die one day according to the Bible.
Usually, Christians don't fear death and although most of them love life they look forward to spending eternity with Jesus.
The few remaining JW's in my family can't get a grip on the concept.
It blows their minds when they hear a nonJW family member say that they look forward to going home.
JW's also get blown away when they ask a 'householder' if they can pick a date that they want to die and the 'householder' tells them that they have been prepared and looking forward to leaving this world and going home to Jesus.

They were on the way home to Statesville, North Carolina
They had been to an annual Fall Jubilee in Gatlinburg, Tennessee (not Virginia) which is an event which features gospel singers and speakers.
The bus crossed the median of I-40 near Jefferson City, TN. hit a SUV occupied by a family from Knoxville and then struck a tractor-trailer in the side of the trailer.
The truck's cab caught fire and the bus had suffered some heat damage. The bus was transported this morning to the Tennessee weigh station on I-81 to be weighed (one of my friends saw it on I-81 headed south towards Knoxville and told me about it when he saw it. I had called him last night at 9:15 P.M. and told him that he may be delayed in traffic because of the wreck. He had been sleeping all afternoon and din't know about it. He has a daily run from Sparta to Greeneville, TN. and we talk every morning as he drives to and from Greeneville).
The truck driver died at the scene. No information on gender or identity.
A passenger in the SUV also died at the scene. No information on gender or identity.
6 people on the bus died at the scene. All were senior citizens and church members.
8 people died at the scene and most of the injured from the bus were transported to UT Hospital in Knoxville.
At least 7 are in serious condition, 2 are in critical condition and 2 are stable. 2 injured people were treated and released at the scene and were not transported to UT.
so after the annual meeting, on sunday, the elders want to talk with my family.
i do not like this one bit.
perhaps i am being exposed.
Why do you want to study the July Watchtower?
That poison spiritually kills you.

Why do you have to attend?
You are over 18, aren't you?
Let the family handle them while you go out with friends, go to the park, go fishing, go to a movie or whatever you do for pleasure.
You don't owe the elders anything.
i am very happy that my dear old mom is finally seeing the truth about the "truth".
what hit her like a ton of bricks is the latest wt.
study article that exalts the governing body and pretty much negates everything the bible students and russell, the founder of the watchtower, ever said was truth!.
Congratulations, minimus!
Don't push too hard and it won't be long before she gets real happy about knowing TTATT.
Even if she keeps going to meetings just for the social aspect she might start talking and who knows how many other JW's will wake up because of what she shares with them.
