  just by looking at this image we can see how quickly the barrier between the congregation and former member is put up, after the announcement that this sister is no longer one of jehovah's witneses.

  It's funny she's carrying a bookbag.

  I have never understood why people attend the meeting when they announce the DFing. It's like the bullies telling you to meet them after school so they can shove your face into yellow snow. How about no.

  But I digress. Why carry a bookbag? The only reason to do that is to impress others, as far as I know. It's not like people are going to be like, "Well, she might be unworthy of a greeting and destined for death, but she carried 3 Awakes with her, so that's a good sign."

  It almost makes me want to orchestrate a giant, multi-national, simultaneous protest by mass amounts of ex-jws wearing a tailored turquoise dress and pumps. And then post selfies on Facebook.

  Think about it. It could be our Project Chanology. We could do it on the 101st anniversary of Not Armageddon, 10/1/15.

  Funny, I've recently noticed on another forum multiple threads on what to do if your neighbor is bothering you. It doesn't seem to occur to people to just politely discuss it.
  

  If you're having that much difficulty, use your sense of humor.

  Make a fake ragazine with an article about how PDA is not appropriate in some cultures and could lead to stumbling. Highlight it and pull it out during the meeting.

  Put your arm around her other shoulder, weave your fingers with Sister Touchtoomuch's fingers, and gently stroke her hand with your thumb. Bonus points if you first use that hand to pick your nose vigorously.

  so this weekend there was a part about not following jesus at a distance.

  the speaker made a big point of stating that any baptized jw male who was not either appointed ms/elder, or at the very least "reaching out" actively, was in fact following jesus at a distance.

  he said that the only way to live through the big a was to follow jesus closely.

  This notion is not new. Back in the 80s they would say if you are not doing everything you can for the sky daddy, "strenuously exerting yourself", then jehoopla would execute you. Spit you out of his mouth because you're lukewarm.

  Hence we were supposed to use every free moment to worship him. For example, I was made to preach and read magazines during school lunch. Walking to school was to be spent praying and meditating. Every second was to be used to fill one's mind with jehoopla, otherwise satan would have a way in.

  Basically they required us to brainwash ourselves.

  It's all a ruse, dude. I have the perfect solution!

  Get busy living a life worth living (which means be happy, surround yourself with nice people, make the most of your brain and your time, add positive things to the community). If God/Jehovah/Thor/Isis/etc. someday makes himself known to us, and he's a guy worth worshiping, he'll be happy you made the most of his gift and were an awesome person. If he doesn't ever make himself known to us, you win too, because you're awesome.

  i took a quick trip to the store and i happened to see a young man (about 26-28 years old) who got baptized about the same time i was leaving- about 2 years ago.

  a couple of pioneer sisters found him in the door to door work.

  one of them, a very attractive girl.

  Wait 'til he works in a hospital. Just wait. Dubs are notorious in hospitals for the blood issue and the behavior of the clergy that visit dub patients. The latter behave like 1970s Black Muslim thugs--I kid you not (you know, because they do gangsta-like stuff under the guide of religion, while dressed "cleanly"). One time one of my staff accidentally entered the 3-letter code JEW instead of JHW in a patient's file, causing her to not be on the dubbie visitation list--a typo of a single key. The elder went apeshit and claimed discrimination, even after receiving an explanation. They are notorious in hospitals for being sue-happy nutjobs who demand many hospital policies be ignored or changed to suit their diva selves.

  why are only pioneers allowed to do "metropolitan witnessing"?

  why do they need "special training" to stand like a zombie for hours, speaking only to their fellow elite?.

  even a pioneer's mother couldn't answer me!.
