  well another big bad elder here just wanting to say sorry.. i'm sorry that so many were treated like crap, and shown that god's love is not to be found around jehovah's witnesses.

  i'm sorry that inadvertently i've likely taught many to judge and as such see that racism permeates every corner of the jw world, else why else would someone be of the world, or even inactive.

  sometime ago i wrote here in this forum about the case of my sister, who decided to stop attending the meetings because she realised that the watchtower society is an evil organization.

  this happened more than one year ago.

  i am not living in the same country of my sister, so i learn about her case when she calls me or when she write me through whatsapp.

  here is what a credentialed teacher in the state of california must agree to as part of their licensing and credentialing.

  (this is a requirement of both initial credentialing as well as renewals).

  jws should not need Caesar to make them do the right thing.

  Caesar grants a special privilege to ordained ministers--the ability to perform weddings. That implies the minister has responsibilities to ensure the wedding is conducted legally.

  i don't know of any but would like some references if anyone does.

  of course not all atheists or irreligious people need to belong to an organization.. studies on the demographics of atheism have concluded that self-identified atheists comprise anywhere from 2% to 8% of the world's population, whereas irreligious individuals represent a further 10% to 20%.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/demographics_of_atheism.

  i commented on this on another thread- but i believe this has enough importance to create a thread about this situation in and of itself.

  at the current district convention as you know the wt society released a " sophie & caleb " video allegedly warning parents about the dangers of child abuse.

  they don't really use the words " child abuse " in the video - but just say if " someone tries to touch you in a manner you aren't comfortable with " and portray it as a cartoon !

  Seriously, the molester is an imaginary monster grunting at the children?

  The "don't talk to strangers" campaign was harmful to children. Kids didn't understand that 'stranger' could mean 'someone I know really well who smiles and is good looking'. Therefore, they developed a false sense of trust in people they know and an irrational fear of those they don't.

  This cartoon sounds much worse than that.

  you can probably guess how this story goes.. i began dating a non-witness boy.

  he knew i was a baptised witness and understood the consequences i faced for dating him.

  we agreed to keep our relationship secret, which was easy considering our 200 mile distance.

  You are being abandoned and it's not an act of love.

  So you are now in the position many of us have been in--having to rebuild your life. I'm glad to hear you have a supportive BF. Get new friends that are trustworthy and supportive, use the "gift" of life to the max by making the most of your intelligence and time. In other words, build a life worth living.
