oh, beebee, I so understand what it is like to be there, not once, but many times. You are strong to have made it through and your children now understand. It is unforgivable what some parents will put their children through for their own selfish reasons.

How do you handle a Volitile Ex??
by Seeking Knowledge inmy ex....is an idiot.
i have had problems with him from the get go when it comes to custody of our son.
we have gone to court and established some ground rules, which he consistantly bends & twists to suit him.

Documenting in an organized way, ie date, time etc is your best friend and argument. Plus remaining the reasonalble one may help, in my case it made no difference, it was all about who made accusations first. That is with the legal community and the jw community. I found that doing what was accepted as "right" had no bearing on the situation. Talking and reasoning with your son will work. He will learn from you as after all, you are his Mother! Trust that what you do and say now will have a profound effect on him. Even if you do not see it now, you will in the future. Communication in a resonable and calm manner with your son will reward you when he decides to make 'his own conclusions' on what is going on. Trust yourself and your love for your child.

I just did an evil
by seven006 ini went down to the local 7/11 a few miles from my house to by some 7/11 stuff.
as i was standing at the counter i glanced out at my car to see a little cheerleader wannabe girl leaning against it.
she was drinking a slushy type drink talking to her bubble gum little chicky buddies in her mom's new lincoln navigator next to my car.

This is probably not the most workable solution in most cases. But, I simply disappeared with the kids. I had nothing to lose. No help from anywhere! JW, JW family (who is all I knew), and it certainly wouldn't be considered legal. But one must do what one must! The legal system was more than I could afford and was no help as he was very convincing and charming. Privately, he got his rocks off beating the sh#t out me and his subsequent girlfriends, the dog, whomever. This was a number of years ago, the kids are now more than adults, and wonder why I stayed with him as long as I did, 10 yrs. Hmmm, I was trying to be a good JW! End of story... You must decide for yourself what is best for your son and yourself. Ultimately, we only have ourselves. and if there is anyone to answer to, such a the big J; well if he's as loving as they (jws) make him out to be, I had no doubt he would be understanding. Yes, I went against the court orders of visitation rights, but I did not have the finances nor emotional fortitude to play those games. I do not suggest you do as I did, just want to encourage you to look to yourself for answers that will work in your situation. You are able, just give your inner voice validation.

demon attack in Kingdom Hall
by Noumenon in.
i once heard about a sister that was having a lot of trouble with demons, and apparently she had a bad demon attack in the kingdom hall.. anyone else heard of such a thing?
so much for the house of jehovah being some sort of refuge.. i have also heard of a witness who still experienced a demon attack despite calling out jehovah's name aloud.

Do you ever DEFEND Witnesses?
by GetBusyLiving ini know i come on here a lot and laugh at the crazy stuff i used to believe.. it's a terrific place to vent my frustration at the org.
and share experiences with people who understand.
but i find that when some people trash talk witnesses who were never part of it i end up sort of defending them usually.

To be honest, I don't talk with most people about religion or JWs. If the subject comes up and I (ashamedly) admit I was one and a large number of my immediate family are avid JWs, what I get is "I am sooo sorry". So no, I do not have to defend or put them down, my friends and aquaintaces seem to mostly already be well informed and have the above opinion.
Rarely will I be asked anything about it other than "oh my god! how do you deal with it?" Most could care less about what a cult thinks.
Talk to dubs? Well I avoid all bad associations!
The only place I have run into supporters of jws have been here, and frankly I do not have the interest nor the time to bother.
I do like that 'one up them' idea though. That is should I ever run into someone who cares to take their time to bash.
